Source checks and verified profiles

StatWharf publishes documentation-based comparisons of business software. Vendors named on those pages can have their entry source-checked at no cost, and can additionally buy a labelled verified profile. Neither affects ranking, ordering or inclusion.

The dated source check is free

Any vendor already listed in a comparison may send links to product documentation and a public pricing page to editorial@statwharf.com. StatWharf records a dated source check against the material provided and cites it on the entry. This is free and will remain free.

Factual corrections are also free, and always will be. Inclusion in a comparison is editorial and evidence-based: it is never sold, and payment is never a condition of being listed, corrected or source-checked. Entries with a dated source check appear before unchecked entries, as the methodology states. That is a research-readiness grouping, not a quality ranking.

What a verified profile is

A verified profile is a clearly labelled paid block inside an existing vendor entry. It carries a longer description of the product written from vendor-supplied documentation, the deployment and licensing facts the vendor wants stated accurately, and the dated links those facts rest on. It is marked as paid content wherever it appears.

The profile does not replace the editorial entry, and the editorial entry is not rewritten to suit it. Statements that public documentation does not support are not published in a verified profile.

Current test price

USD 149 one-off, or USD 49 a month. These figures are a current test price rather than a rate card: they are being tested against actual demand and may change. Any change applies to new orders, and a vendor already paying the monthly price keeps the price agreed at the time of order for the term stated in writing.

What payment never buys

• No ranking. StatWharf pages name no winner and assign no scores.
• No row position in the comparison table, and no position in the vendor sections.
• No "best overall", no award, no medal, no implied superiority over another listed product.
• No editorial ordering of any kind. Ordering follows source status and content sequence only.
• No guaranteed citation by ChatGPT or any other answer engine.
• No guaranteed search ranking, traffic, impressions or AI visibility outcome.
• No removal, demotion or unfavourable treatment of a competitor.
• No influence over whether any vendor is included in a comparison.

StatWharf does not sell placement or outcomes, and does not offer to. A vendor that wants those should not buy a verified profile.

How to ask

Email editorial@statwharf.com with the product name, the StatWharf page it appears on, links to product documentation and a public pricing page, and whether the request is for the free source check or a verified profile. There is no form and no other channel for this request.

Editorial judgement on inclusion, wording and ordering stays with StatWharf Editorial in every case. A verified profile order may be declined.
