These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

AI recruiting platforms use machine learning and large language models to take routine work off recruiters. They search external databases for candidates, write and send outreach, review inbound applications, hold screening conversations by chat, text or voice, schedule interviews and summarise interviews for hiring teams. Most sit on top of an applicant tracking system rather than replacing it.

The ten platforms compared here fall into three groups. Paradox and HireVue focus on screening and interview automation, Paradox for high-volume hourly hiring and HireVue for AI interviews and assessments. SeekOut, Juicebox, Fetcher and Findem focus on sourcing, from self-serve search tools with published prices to data-rich platforms for executive search. Eightfold, Gem, hireEZ and Metaview span sourcing, screening and scheduling in one platform. All pricing notes were checked in September 2026. Entries with dated source checks appear first. That order records research readiness. It is not a measure of product quality or a ranking. Claims about AI accuracy or fairness are vendor statements unless an audit is cited.

Paradox (Workday)

Consider forEmployers hiring frontline and high-volume staff, such as restaurants and retail, that want applications, screening and scheduling handled by chat or text
Pricing notesQuote-based; the site shows no price (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateThe Olivia assistant runs screening, self-scheduling, offers and onboarding documents by chat and text, on top of Workday or SAP SuccessFactors

Paradox is a conversational recruiting vendor whose assistant, Olivia, talks to candidates by chat and text. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on 1 October 2025, and Workday's announcement states that the Paradox Candidate Experience Agent can be bought through either Workday or Paradox by new and existing customers. The Paradox site remains live and continues to market the product under its own name, so it is listed here as a separate entry from Workday's core HR suite.

The product is aimed at frontline and high-volume hiring. Olivia answers candidate questions, checks basic qualifications during screening, and lets applicants pick an interview slot without a recruiter coordinating calendars. The same assistant can send preparation material before interviews, host video interviews, generate offer letters and send onboarding documents so a new hire can start on day one. Paradox also sells modules for hiring events, employee referrals and candidate feedback surveys.

Buyers can use Paradox in two ways. The Conversational ATS replaces a traditional applicant tracking system with one built around the assistant. The Candidate Experience Agent adds the conversational layer on top of an existing system of record, and Paradox markets specific versions for Workday and SAP SuccessFactors. An Indeed Apply integration distributes jobs to Indeed and routes applications back into the flow.

The customer stories on the homepage are vendor-reported. They include Compass Group hiring 120,000 workers a year with a recruiting team of 20, 7-Eleven saving 40,000 store hours a week, and a 58% decrease in time to apply. Buyers should treat these as marketing claims rather than audited results, and ask how screening questions are configured and reviewed for fairness in their own jurisdictions. Paradox does not publish prices, and its pricing address resolves to the main product page, so cost is set by quote through Paradox or Workday.

Potential strengths

  • Covers the candidate journey from apply to onboarding documents in one conversational flow
  • Works alongside an existing ATS, with named offerings for Workday and SAP SuccessFactors

Trade-offs

  • No list price is published
  • Built around high-volume hourly hiring, so specialist or executive sourcing is not its focus

HireVue

enterprise
hirevue.com ↗
Consider forLarge employers running structured screening at scale that want AI interviews, assessments and video interviewing on one platform
Pricing notesQuote-based; Essential and Premium packages listed without figures (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA voice-based AI Interviewer screens applicants at any hour and feeds a candidate skill profile with assessment results

HireVue is one of the longest-established vendors in AI-assisted hiring, and it built its business on video interviewing and pre-hire assessments. Its current platform presents four stages of selection: engaging candidates, screening them, assessing skills and interviewing. The vendor states that it serves 40% of the Fortune 100 and that more than 70 million interviews and 200 million assessments have been completed on its platform. These figures are vendor-reported.

The screening step now centres on an AI Interviewer. HireVue describes it as a voice-based agent that holds dynamic screening conversations with every applicant at any hour, then returns a recommendation with the evidence behind it. A website chat agent called Match and Apply asks candidates about their interests and points them to suitable roles before they apply. Assessments include job-relevant skills tests, simulations and game-based exercises. For later rounds, an interview co-pilot joins live interviews on Zoom or Microsoft Teams to capture notes and summaries.

Results from each stage roll up into a candidate skill profile, which rates skills such as communication or product knowledge. HireVue cites outcomes including more successful hires per 100, better retention and higher performance ratings. These are vendor claims, and the public pages do not link an independent audit of accuracy or bias for the AI Interviewer. Buyers subject to rules such as New York City's automated employment decision tool law or the EU AI Act should request bias audit results and documentation before deployment.

The pricing page lists an Essential package and a Premium package but shows no prices. It states that the platform is free for candidates, that professional services support change management, that support runs around the clock in more than 20 languages, and that the vendor holds SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and FedRAMP credentials. Cost is set by quote.

Potential strengths

  • Combines AI screening interviews, assessments and live-interview notes in one selection workflow
  • Vendor states SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and FedRAMP certification

Trade-offs

  • Package prices are not published
  • Assessment-led scoring of candidates needs careful legal and fairness review in regulated jurisdictions

Eightfold AI

enterprise
eightfold.ai ↗
Consider forLarge enterprises that want skills-based matching, talent rediscovery and AI interviewing in one talent acquisition suite
Pricing notesQuote-based; no public pricing page (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluate360 Interview combines several interview rounds into one AI-led session

Eightfold AI sells a talent intelligence platform used by large employers for recruiting, internal mobility and workforce planning. Its Talent Acquisition product is the part relevant to this page. Eightfold positions it as an AI-native recruiting suite in which agents handle much of the routine work while recruiters keep oversight.

The core idea is skills-based matching. Eightfold says its models, including multi-modal large language models, build an up-to-date picture of each candidate so recruiters can judge potential rather than rely on keywords or job titles. This matters most for talent rediscovery: finding past applicants and existing contacts in the employer's own database who fit a new role. The product page cites customer results such as the share of Activision hires made through rediscovery and reductions in screening time at Bayer. Those figures are vendor-reported and are shown on the page as animated counters.

Agents run tasks from requisition to selection. Eightfold says its agents help recruiters work up to five times faster. Candidates can be sourced, interviewed by an AI Interviewer and made offers on the same platform. A newer feature, 360 Interview, compresses several evaluation rounds into one session, and the vendor offers a live demonstration of the AI Interviewer. The platform also connects hiring to broader workforce insight, such as the skills an organisation already holds and the ones it needs.

Buyers should note that Eightfold's AI matching claims are vendor statements. Employers hiring in New York City, the EU or other jurisdictions with rules on automated hiring tools should ask for bias audit results and model documentation. Eightfold does not publish a price list. Its product pages route to a demo request, so cost is set by quote.

Potential strengths

  • Skills inference looks beyond job titles on the résumé, which suits talent rediscovery in large applicant databases
  • Sourcing, AI interviewing and offers run on one platform

Trade-offs

  • No list price is published
  • Scope and implementation are sized for enterprise programmes rather than small teams

SeekOut

Consider forSourcers and recruiting teams, from solo recruiters to enterprise teams, that need AI search across a large external candidate database
Pricing notesRecruit Core $149 a month paid annually ($1,788 a year) or $179 billed monthly; team plans custom (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA published self-serve seat with a 14-day free trial, plus SeekOut Spot, which pairs AI sourcing with human recruiters

SeekOut started as a sourcing tool for hard-to-fill technical and diversity hiring, and now sells an AI recruiting platform called SeekOut Recruit. The vendor states that its search covers more than one billion candidate profiles, which is a vendor-reported figure. Recruiters search that database with AI assistance, send personalised outreach and rediscover candidates already held in their applicant tracking system.

SeekOut is one of the few vendors on this page that publishes a price. Recruit Core, the self-serve plan for individual recruiters, costs $149 a month when paid annually upfront, which is $1,788 a year, or $179 a month on monthly billing. A 14-day free trial gives full access to Recruit Core without a credit card or contract. Above that sit three custom plans billed annually. Sourcing adds seats for teams focused on outbound work. Sourcing plus Integration connects the ATS so teams can rediscover known talent. The Full Recruiting Funnel plan adds inbound applicant evaluation and AI screening, with support across the whole funnel. SeekOut says modules can be mixed and that volume pricing is available.

The pricing FAQ names an inbound applicant evaluation feature called Sam, which reviews applicants who apply directly, alongside outreach and rediscovery. The public pages describe these as capabilities, and buyers should test match quality on their own open roles during the trial.

SeekOut also sells a service line called SeekOut Spot. It combines AI agents with human recruiters in three models: a per-role AI sourcer, AI-assisted contract recruiters, and an outcome-based recruiting agency for senior roles. The vendor claims Spot delivers interview-ready candidates in under two weeks at 70% less than traditional agencies. Those figures are vendor claims. Spot pricing is custom and carries no annual commitment, according to the page.

Potential strengths

  • Entry price and free trial are published, with no credit card required for the trial
  • Plans can add ATS rediscovery and AI screening of inbound applicants

Trade-offs

  • Team and enterprise plans require a quote
  • Full-funnel features such as AI screening sit in the top custom plan

Gem

mid-market
gem.com ↗
Consider forRecruiting teams at growing companies that want AI sourcing, CRM and scheduling on top of an ATS or with a built-in ATS
Pricing notesCustom, based on company FTE count; under 30 employees: six months free, then 50% off (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateSeparate Standard and AI-Powered seats, so AI agents for sourcing, application review and fraud detection are paid for only where used

Gem began as a recruiting CRM for sourcing and outreach, and has grown into an AI-first recruiting platform with its own applicant tracking system. Its pricing page describes two ways to buy. Teams can keep their existing ATS and add Gem's sourcing, outreach, scheduling and analytics on top, or they can replace the whole stack with Gem's All-in-One plan, which includes a built-in ATS. The vendor lists eBay, GitLab and Amazon One Medical among its customers.

Gem's AI features are grouped into agents. The AI Sourcing Agent searches more than 800 million profiles, a vendor-reported figure. The AI Application Review Agent scores and ranks inbound applications before a recruiter opens them. The AI Talent Rediscovery Agent resurfaces past candidates in the CRM and ATS who now fit an open role. The AI Fraud Detection Agent assesses applications for signs of fraud, a growing concern as generated résumés and impersonation spread. Scheduling adds a candidate self-scheduling portal, interviewer load balancing and panel scheduling.

Seats come in two kinds. A Standard seat covers the base workflow, including one-click adds from more than 20 sourcing sites, unlimited email finding, multi-stage outreach sequences and two-way ATS sync. An AI-Powered seat unlocks the agents and AI-ranked applicant lists. This structure lets a team pay for AI features only where they are used.

Pricing is custom and based on company headcount, measured in full-time employees. Gem publishes a startup programme. Companies with fewer than 30 employees receive the All-in-One plan free for six months and then 50% off a paid plan, and companies with 30 to 100 employees get reduced rates without a sales call. The page includes a calculator for these tiers. Larger companies need a quote.

Potential strengths

  • Two routes in: keep the current ATS or replace the stack with Gem's own ATS
  • Published startup programme with free and discounted terms for small companies

Trade-offs

  • Pricing beyond the startup programme needs a quote
  • AI features require the higher AI-Powered seat

hireEZ

Consider forEnterprise talent teams that want sourcing, outreach, AI phone screening and scheduling automated on top of an existing ATS
Pricing notesSolo recruiters from $494 a month with a 7-day free trial; enterprise by quote (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateEZ Agent holds voice phone screens, returns a job-fit summary and books interviews across panel calendars

hireEZ, formerly known as Hiretual, sells an agentic recruiting platform that runs on top of the employer's existing applicant tracking system. The vendor names Workday, iCIMS, Greenhouse and SAP as systems it sits on, and positions itself as a replacement for the separate sourcing, CRM, outreach, screening and scheduling tools that often accumulate around an ATS. It states that more than 70 Fortune 500 companies use the product, a vendor-reported figure.

Work is organised around an agent called EZ Agent. At intake it reads the requisition, maps available talent supply and pulls salary benchmarks to propose a sourcing plan. For sourcing, it searches more than 45 external platforms and the employer's own ATS, which the vendor says gives access to over one billion candidates, and ranks them by job fit. Outreach is drafted and sequenced across email and text, with automatic follow-ups. hireEZ says this raises response rates by 38% and that profile review is 70% faster. These are vendor-reported figures.

Screening includes a conversational AI feature that holds phone screens by voice. It asks structured questions, adapts during the conversation and gives recruiters a summary, highlights and a job-fit analysis afterwards. A Trust Layer surfaces signals to help recruiters judge candidates. Scheduling then coordinates recruiter, hiring manager and panel calendars while candidates book their own slots. As with other AI screening tools, fairness and accuracy statements are the vendor's own, and buyers should ask for audit documentation.

hireEZ publishes an entry price. Solo recruiters start at $494 a month with a seven-day free trial. For enterprise teams, the vendor says seats remain part of the model but pricing is set against the tools hireEZ replaces, and it runs a four-week verification on the buyer's own workflows before a contract is signed. The pricing page includes a worksheet for calculating current stack cost.

Potential strengths

  • Published solo price and free trial
  • Four-week verification on the buyer's own workflows before an enterprise contract

Trade-offs

  • Enterprise pricing is not published
  • The solo entry price is higher than several self-serve sourcing tools on this page

Findem

enterprise
findem.ai ↗
Consider forTalent acquisition, executive search and VC or private equity talent teams that want sourcing built on career and network data
Pricing notesQuote-based; no figures on the pricing page (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateProfiles carry expert-labelled Success Signals and relationship data that its agents use for matching and screening

Findem describes itself as an AI platform for talent outcomes, covering hiring, executive search, internal mobility, learning and workforce planning. For recruiting buyers, its distinguishing idea is context. Findem reads career histories and turns them into labelled attributes it calls Success Signals, and it maps relationships, meaning who has worked with whom and where trust already exists between people.

The vendor reports more than one billion career paths mapped, more than two million labelled Success Signals, and 75 to 100 signals per profile, with more than 200 experts contributing to the labels. These are vendor-reported figures, and the site does not describe how label accuracy is measured.

Findem offers AI in three modes. Assistive AI speeds up everyday work across sourcing, talent marketing, executive search, analytics and market intelligence, such as mapping where specific skills are emerging or how competitors hire. Agentic AI hands whole workflows to Findem Agents. The Intelligent Job Post agent turns a job post into a set of candidates delivered for review. An Application Boost Agent sends outreach tailored to each person's background. A Screening Agent runs structured screens, and a Scheduling Agent books interviews and manages changes. Build AI lets customers label their own data and build custom agents that follow their own playbooks.

Findem sells to talent acquisition teams, executive search firms, HR and IT buyers, and venture capital and private equity firms that recruit for portfolio companies. The relationship data is most relevant to executive search and portfolio recruiting, where warm introductions matter. Findem does not publish prices. Its pricing page describes the platform without figures, so cost is set by quote.

Potential strengths

  • Relationship and network data supports warm-path outreach and executive search
  • Buyers can label their own data and build custom agents

Trade-offs

  • No list price is published
  • The public site describes capabilities at a high level

Fetcher

fetcher.ai ↗
Consider forLean recruiting teams at small and mid-sized companies that want automated sourcing, optionally with Fetcher's own sourcers
Pricing notesSelf-serve $115, Growth $379, Amplify $649 a month; Enterprise by quote (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateHigher tiers add Fetcher-sourced candidates and a dedicated sourcer for about four to six roles

Fetcher is a sourcing automation platform aimed at companies that need a steady flow of candidates without a large recruiting team. It combines a candidate database, which the vendor puts at more than 500 million profiles, with automated email outreach and a candidate relationship manager. Its distinguishing feature is that higher plans include candidates sourced by Fetcher itself, so a buyer is partly purchasing a service as well as software.

The pricing page publishes four tiers. Self-serve costs $115 a month and suits individuals with modest sourcing needs, with 300 leads a month and one seat. Growth costs $379 a month and is described as a mostly do-it-yourself option, with up to 2,500 leads a year, up to 500 Fetcher-sourced candidates a year and up to 2,500 inbound applicant reviews a year. Amplify costs $649 a month and adds more self-sourcing capacity, a success team and a dedicated sourcer for roughly four to six roles, with limits doubled to 5,000 leads, 1,000 Fetcher-sourced candidates and 5,000 applicant reviews a year and two seats. Enterprise raises limits above 10,000 and adds seats, single sign-on and other features by quote. The page offers a 30% saving for annual payment. Its summary text quotes a starting price of $117 a month, or $99 with an annual commitment, which does not match the table, so buyers should confirm the current figure.

Features across plans include ATS integration, a LinkedIn sourcing plugin, templated outreach, profile refreshes, spreadsheet imports and basic analytics. Inbound applicant review means Fetcher also screens people who apply directly, not only sourced prospects.

Fetcher publishes an illustrative savings estimate based on an average recruiter salary. That estimate is the vendor's own model rather than a measured customer result. The per-year volume caps are the main constraint to check against planned hiring.

Potential strengths

  • Tier prices and annual volume limits are published
  • Mix of self-sourcing and vendor-sourced candidates suits teams without a dedicated sourcer

Trade-offs

  • Volume caps on leads and applicant reviews apply at each tier
  • The page's summary text quotes a different starting price from the plan table, so buyers should confirm the current figure

Consider forIndividual recruiters, agencies and startups that want natural-language candidate search with published per-seat prices
Pricing notesFree tier; Starter $99–$119 and Growth $179–$199 per seat a month; Agents $199 each a month; Business custom (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateBackground agents with unlimited contact credits can auto-email or auto-shortlist candidates

Juicebox is a people search and sourcing platform known for PeopleGPT, its natural-language search, which lets recruiters describe the person they want in plain language instead of building Boolean strings. The product has grown to include outreach, talent insights and autonomous agents, and the vendor was promoting a fourth version of Juicebox Agent at the time of checking.

Juicebox publishes all of its self-serve prices in US dollars. A Free plan allows limited searches, AI email templates and one agent setup. Starter is a self-serve plan for individuals with unlimited searches, unlimited projects, 500 contact credits for email and phone data, 500 export credits and email outreach with AI templates. Growth is aimed at small teams, agencies and startups, and adds talent insights, 1,500 contact and export credits, up to five paid seats and three mailboxes per user. The page shows Starter at $99 or $119 per seat a month and Growth at $179 or $199 per seat a month depending on the billing toggle, with yearly billing described as 15% off. The Business plan is custom, annual only, and adds onboarding, unlimited contact credits, usage analytics, hiring manager seats, ATS or CRM integration, network sourcing and priority support.

Juicebox Agents are sold as an add-on at $199 per agent a month. An agent runs continuously in the background, with unlimited contact and email credits, and can be set to email candidates automatically or to build shortlists for review. Access can be given to anyone in the organisation.

Because agents can contact candidates without a recruiter approving each message, buyers should consider sender reputation, candidate experience and data protection rules in the regions they recruit from. Match quality claims are the vendor's own. The free tier offers a low-cost way to test search results on real roles before paying.

Potential strengths

  • Free tier and published per-seat prices make self-serve evaluation straightforward
  • Agents can be shared with any user in the organisation

  • ATS or CRM integration is limited to the custom Business plan
  • Contact and export credits are capped on Starter and Growth

Consider forRecruiting teams and hiring managers that want interview notes, application review and sourcing agents sharing one set of role criteria
Pricing notesSourcing: free for 100 profiles, $100 a month for 200, Max $300 a month unlimited; Enterprise custom (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateAn Ideal Candidate Profile, refined by hiring decisions, is shared across sourcing, review and interview notes

Metaview first became known as an AI notetaker for recruiting interviews and now sells what it calls an agentic recruiting platform. The product covers sourcing, application review, screening, interview notes and reporting, with recruiters, hiring managers and agents working from shared context. Customers named on its site include Replit, Deliveroo, Qonto, Catawiki and Automattic.

The interview notetaker joins calls and produces structured notes when the call ends, so feedback reaches the hiring team quickly. Customer quotes on the pricing page describe time savings ranging from several hours per recruiter each week to 53 hours a month across a team. These are customer statements published by the vendor. The application review agent checks each inbound application against the team's criteria and explains why candidates were surfaced. The sourcing agent searches for and contacts candidates, and can start automatically after an intake call. A reporting engine analyses interview content for trends such as salary expectations.

The link between these agents is an Ideal Candidate Profile. Metaview builds it from the job description, then updates it from sourcing feedback, application review outcomes and interview results. The vendor says every decision includes candidate-level rationale and that users can review, edit or override the profile. It also describes guardrails, alerts for non-compliant behaviour and an audit trail of AI reasoning. These are vendor descriptions, and buyers should confirm how interview recordings are consented and stored.

Metaview publishes sourcing prices. The free tier includes the first 100 profiles sourced. A $100 monthly tier covers 200 profiles a month, and the Max tier at $300 a month covers unlimited profiles. Enterprise plans are custom. Every user has access to the full platform, but teams pay for the agents they use, and Reports is a flat-fee add-on. Integrations include Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Gem and SmartRecruiters.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI recruiting platform?

An AI recruiting platform uses machine learning and large language models to automate parts of hiring: finding candidates in external databases, writing outreach, reviewing inbound applications, holding screening conversations by chat, text or voice, scheduling interviews and summarising interviews. Most sit on top of an applicant tracking system, although some, such as Gem and Paradox, also sell their own ATS.

How do AI recruiting platforms differ from an applicant tracking system?

An applicant tracking system is the record of jobs, applicants, stages and offers. AI recruiting platforms act on that record. They source people who have not applied, screen applicants automatically and coordinate interviews. hireEZ, Metaview and Paradox's Candidate Experience Agent are sold to run alongside an existing ATS, while Gem's All-in-One plan and Paradox's Conversational ATS can replace it.

Which platforms focus on sourcing and which on screening?

SeekOut, Juicebox, Fetcher and Findem are strongest in sourcing: searching large candidate databases and automating outreach. Paradox and HireVue focus on screening and scheduling, with Paradox built for high-volume hourly hiring and HireVue for AI interviews and assessments. Gem, hireEZ, Eightfold and Metaview span both sourcing and screening in one platform.

How much do AI recruiting platforms cost?

Enterprise vendors such as Paradox, HireVue, Eightfold and Findem price by quote. Several sourcing tools publish prices. SeekOut Recruit Core costs $149 a month paid annually. Juicebox Starter starts at $99 per seat a month on yearly billing. Fetcher lists tiers from $115 to $649 a month. hireEZ starts at $494 a month for solo recruiters. Metaview's sourcing agent runs from free to $300 a month.

Are AI hiring tools accurate and free of bias?

Accuracy and fairness statements on vendor sites are vendor claims unless an independent audit is published. None of the product pages reviewed here links an independent audit of its matching or interview scoring. Buyers should request bias audit results, model documentation and adverse impact monitoring, and should keep a human reviewer on decisions that reject candidates.

What regulations apply to AI in recruiting?

New York City's Local Law 144 requires an annual independent bias audit and candidate notice for automated employment decision tools used on New York City roles. The EU AI Act classifies AI used for recruitment and candidate evaluation as high-risk, with obligations for providers and deployers. Other US states and cities have passed or proposed similar rules, so buyers should check with counsel where they hire.

Can small companies use AI recruiting platforms?

Yes. Juicebox has a free tier and per-seat prices, Fetcher publishes monthly plans with vendor-sourced candidates, SeekOut offers a 14-day free trial of Recruit Core, and Metaview's sourcing agent has a free tier. Gem offers companies under 30 employees its All-in-One plan free for six months and then 50% off. Enterprise suites such as Eightfold are sized for larger programmes.

What should buyers check during evaluation?

Buyers should test each platform on real open roles: the quality of sourced candidates, response rates to outreach, how screening questions are written and reviewed, and whether recommendations come with reasons. They should also check ATS integration depth, candidate consent for recordings, data retention, fraud detection for fake applicants, and whether AI features need a higher seat or plan.
