Best Supply Chain Visibility Software (2026): Top 9 Compared

Updated September 2026By StatWharf Editorial9 vendorsMethodology

Supply chain visibility software tracks shipments across carriers and modes and flags delays so that shippers can act before a late delivery reaches the customer. The nine products below differ by specialism and region. FourKites, project44 and Decklar sell broad platforms to large enterprises, with project44 adding transport execution. Shippeo concentrates on European carrier adoption, Descartes MacroPoint on North American truckload freight, and Trimble Freight Visibility on shippers already using the Transporeon platform. Overhaul and Tive address theft and condition monitoring, and GoComet GoTrack follows ocean containers. Eight are quote-based, while GoComet publishes a free allowance of six container shipments a month.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

Supply chain visibility software shows where goods in transit are, when they will arrive and which shipments need attention. It collects data from carrier systems, truck telematics, vessel positions and trackers inside the load, and turns it into predicted arrival times and exception alerts. The shipper’s logistics team is the main user. The difference from consumer shipment tracking is the audience: these products serve the business that moves the freight, not the person waiting for a parcel.

The nine products compared below split into three groups. FourKites, project44, Shippeo, Descartes MacroPoint and Transporeon build visibility from carrier networks and telematics, and several now add AI agents and transport management. Tive puts trackers inside the shipment to report condition as well as location, and Decklar feeds shipment and asset signals into planning decisions. Overhaul adds security operations for theft and fraud, and GoComet focuses on ocean containers and demurrage. Pricing was checked in September 2026 on each vendor’s own site. Entries with dated source checks appear first, which records research readiness, not product quality.

Vendor details and trade-offs

FourKites Intelligent Control Tower

enterprisefourkites.com ↗
Consider forLarge shippers that want tracking, digital twins and automated follow-up in one control tower, because the vendor documents all three as a single system rather than separate modules
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card or entry tier was found on the vendor's platform pages, which route enquiries to a demo request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateContinuously updated digital twins of orders, shipments, inventory, assets and facilities, so a delay is read against the customer order and revenue it affects rather than as a map pin

FourKites began as a real-time transportation visibility provider and now sells its product as the Intelligent Control Tower. The platform page describes three layers. The first is the network, which the vendor states processes more than three million shipments a day and connects Fortune 2000 shippers with carriers, facilities and lanes. The second is a set of continuously updated digital twins covering orders from creation to fulfilment, shipments across modes, inventory levels, equipment and facility schedules. The third is Loft, an agent platform that runs prebuilt digital workers and lets a team build custom agents against its own procedures.

The practical consequence for a buyer is scope. Transport tracking is the foundation, but the documented value case is the connection between a shipment event and the order, customer and revenue behind it. That suits a shipper with many plants, distribution centres and carriers, where the question after a delay is which customer orders are at risk.

For a smaller shipper the same scope is a cost. The vendor does not publish which parts are sold separately, and it does not publish prices.

Potential strengths

  • The vendor states a network processing more than three million shipments a day, which gives a large shipper a measure of carrier coverage before onboarding starts
  • Loft, the vendor's agent platform, is documented as able to run prebuilt digital workers and custom agents built on a shipper's own standard operating procedures

Trade-offs

  • The platform page leads with agents and control tower language, and a buyer who needs only transport tracking has to establish which components are required and which are optional
  • No pricing is published at any level, so the cost of the tracking core cannot be separated from the cost of the wider suite without a sales conversation

project44 Movement

enterpriseproject44.com ↗
Consider forShippers that want visibility and transport execution from one vendor, because Movement documents tracking, exception management and a transportation management system in the same platform
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card or entry tier was found on the platform pages, and product enquiries route to a demo request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateOrder visibility by purchase order, sales order, stock transfer order or stock keeping unit, so in-transit goods are tracked by the references an inventory team already uses

project44 sells Movement, which it describes as a decision intelligence platform for supply chains. Visibility is one layer of a broader product. The platform page groups capabilities into connect, see, act and automate.

The visibility layer covers end-to-end tracking across modes and geographies, order visibility by purchase order, sales order, stock transfer order or stock keeping unit, and port intelligence on congestion. It also covers an AI disruption navigator, detention and demurrage optimisation, a tariff analyzer, emissions monitoring and ocean sailing schedules. The connectivity layer lists telematics integrations, port terminal feeds, document capture and voice and messaging agents that collect status where no electronic feed exists.

Above that, Movement documents a transportation management module covering consolidation, mode optimisation, rating, booking and freight audit, a yard module, freight procurement analytics and an assistant called MO. For a buyer this means project44 can compete for the transport management budget as well as the visibility budget. That is useful for consolidation and harder to compare.

Potential strengths

  • The platform page lists modules for port congestion data, detention and demurrage, tariff analysis and Scope 3 emissions, which cover questions that a pure tracking product leaves to other systems
  • The vendor states more than 1,400 telematics integrations and around 5,000 application interfaces, which bears directly on how many carriers can be connected without manual check calls

Trade-offs

  • The module list is long, and the page does not say which modules make up the base visibility product and which are priced separately
  • Performance figures on the platform page, such as a 30 percent cost reduction, are the vendor's own and carry no stated baseline or method

Shippeo

enterpriseshippeo.com ↗
Consider forEuropean shippers whose visibility problem is carrier adoption, because Shippeo documents supported carrier onboarding and guarantees on tracking completeness
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card was found on the vendor site, which routes enquiries to a demo request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateThe Shippeo Guarantee, which commits to tracking compliance and completeness, delay prediction accuracy and carrier onboarding speed

Shippeo is a real-time transportation visibility provider. It covers road, rail, sea and air with predictive arrival times and alerts. The home page describes AI agents that clean data, resolve issues and surface insights, and push the latest information into existing workflows.

Its public case centres on the part of visibility that often fails: getting carriers connected and keeping them connected. The site says visibility depends on uniting shippers, carriers and systems across every mode. It offers guidance on integrations, change management and rollout, and wraps this in the Shippeo Guarantee. The guarantee covers complete and reliable tracking, accurate delay prediction and fast carrier onboarding. The published page names these commitments but not the measured thresholds.

The named references carry numbers. Carrefour Belgium is cited at 850 stores and 370,000 loads a year. Leroy Merlin is cited at 13 warehouses and 180 carriers. Renault Group's global supply chain lead is quoted on its control tower running on Shippeo data. These are self-reported figures, but they state scale in a way a buyer can compare with its own network.

Potential strengths

  • Named customer figures are specific: Carrefour Belgium is cited at 850 stores and 1,500 trucks tracked, and Coca-Cola HBC at 28 countries and more than 200 carriers
  • The vendor describes itself as neutral and integration-friendly, which matters to a shipper that uses several carriers and does not want tracking tied to one of them

Trade-offs

  • The guarantee is described in headline terms on the home page, and the thresholds and remedies behind it are not published
  • The customer base named on the site is weighted to European retail, consumer goods and automotive, so a buyer with North American truckload freight has less published evidence to go on

Descartes MacroPoint

mid-marketmacropoint.com ↗
Consider forFreight brokers, third-party logistics providers and shippers moving North American truckload freight, because MacroPoint documents a carrier network built around that segment
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card was found on the product site, which routes enquiries to a demo request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateOpsForce AI agents that place the check call, restore lost tracking, update the customer and capture documents when a shipment goes quiet

Descartes MacroPoint is the freight visibility product of Descartes Systems Group. Descartes describes it as a multimodal freight visibility platform for shippers, brokers and 3PLs. Coverage is stated as full truckload, less-than-truckload, rail, ocean and parcel. The product site documents predictive arrival times, intelligent alerting and connections to the major transportation management systems.

The feature the vendor now leads with is OpsForce AI. The shippers page describes it in operational terms. When a shipment goes quiet, an agent calls the driver or carrier, restores tracking, updates the customer and files the paperwork. Every action is grounded in data from the Descartes Global Logistics Network. For a brokerage, check calls are a direct labour cost, so this is a measurable claim to test in a pilot.

The other asset is the network. MacroPoint states a connection to more than 435,000 carriers, logistics providers and drivers, which bears directly on tracking compliance for truckload freight. Buyers should note that Descartes also sells visibility and event management products outside MacroPoint.

Potential strengths

  • The vendor states a network of more than 435,000 carriers, logistics providers and drivers, with onboarding support included
  • Separate solution pages for shippers, brokers and 3PLs mean the documented workflow matches the buyer's role

Trade-offs

  • The deepest documentation covers truckload, and ocean and parcel coverage is described in less detail
  • MacroPoint sits inside a larger Descartes portfolio that also sells visibility through other products, so a buyer has to confirm which Descartes product is being quoted

Trimble Freight Visibility (Transporeon)

enterprisetransporeon.com ↗
Consider forShippers already on the Transporeon or Trimble transport platform, because visibility is documented as connecting to Trimble TMS, time slot booking and yard management
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card was found on the Transporeon visibility pages, which route enquiries to contact and demo requests (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateOpen Visibility Data, an interface that lets a carrier share tracking data with authorised shippers whichever visibility platform or TMS those shippers use

Transporeon is a European transport platform that Trimble acquired. Its visibility product now appears under both brands. The shipper page describes a road network of more than 145,000 carriers and cites 158,000 carriers and 95 percent telematics coverage in its facts section. The Trimble page presents the same product as Trimble Freight Visibility. It names integration with Trimble TMS, AI-based arrival predictions and the Visibility Control Center for managing data-sharing permissions.

The carrier-side documentation is the most detailed of any vendor on this page. It states that a carrier connects its telematics, fleet system or TMS and generally needs no extra hardware. Data is shared only with consent. A carrier can extend coverage to subcontractors by requesting consent from them. Open Visibility Data lets a carrier share tracking with any authorised shipper, whatever platform the shipper uses.

For a shipper, the argument for Transporeon is adjacency. Visibility connects to the same platform's freight sourcing, time slot management, yard management and freight audit.

Potential strengths

  • The vendor states coverage of about 95 percent of the telematics market and more than 158,000 carriers in the network, which reduces the need for carrier hardware
  • Carrier-side documentation is detailed and explains consent-based data sharing, subcontractor coverage and the Visibility Control Center

Trade-offs

  • The product appears under several names across Transporeon and Trimble pages, including Real-Time Visibility, Transporeon Visibility and Trimble Freight Visibility, which makes scoping a quote harder
  • The documented strength is European road freight, and ocean and air coverage is described less fully on the pages checked

Overhaul

specialistover-haul.com ↗
Consider forShippers of high-value or temperature-sensitive goods whose main visibility problem is theft, tampering or cold chain loss, because Overhaul pairs tracking with a staffed security operations centre
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card was found on the vendor site, which routes enquiries to a demo request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA 24-hour global security operations centre that coordinates theft response and recovery, with stated links to law enforcement

Overhaul positions itself against visibility-only products. Its home page opens with the claim that visibility alone will not prevent theft, damage or delays. The product combines stock keeping unit-level tracking across modes with predictive risk intelligence, compliance monitoring and a global security operations centre that runs around the clock.

The documented use cases are specific. For theft and tampering, Overhaul lists real-time alerts on route deviations and unauthorised stops, AI-backed intervention and law enforcement connections for recovery. For fraud and double brokering, it lists carrier risk scores built from several factors, verification before booking and on site, and alerts when a score rises. For cold chain, it lists threshold alerts for temperature-sensitive goods, settings per product and support for existing devices. The visibility layer covers intelligent arrival times and multimodal tracking.

The site quotes Microsoft's logistics lead on a fourfold return in the first peak season. That is a single self-reported account. It shows the kind of buyer Overhaul serves: shippers of high-value goods where one lost load costs more than a year of tracking.

Potential strengths

  • Carrier risk scoring, pre-booking verification and alerts on risk score changes address double brokering and freight fraud, which most visibility products do not cover
  • The device-agnostic approach to cold chain monitoring lets a shipper keep existing sensors while adding threshold alerts per product

Trade-offs

  • The headline figures, such as 98 percent of disruptions prevented and $5 billion in assets recovered, are the vendor's own and carry no stated method
  • A shipper whose risk is delay rather than loss is paying for a security layer it may not use

Tive

specialisttive.com ↗
Consider forShippers that need condition data such as temperature, shock and light from inside the load, because Tive sells its own cellular trackers with the platform
Pricing notesQuote-based: the platform is sold in Essential, Plus and Premium tiers with trackers, and the vendor publishes the tier feature split but no prices (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA published tier matrix that shows which features, such as ETAs, route deviation alerts, API access and single sign-on, sit in which tier

Tive approaches visibility from the load rather than the truck. The company sells real-time trackers that report over cellular and WiFi and travel inside the shipment, together with a cloud platform that displays location and condition data. The tracker range is documented on the vendor's product pages. Solo Lite reports location, temperature and light at a lower cost. Solo 5G adds humidity and shock for high-value or sensitive cargo. Solo Pro adds tilt and an on-device display for pharmaceutical shipments that need audit-ready records.

The platform is sold in three tiers, and the support site publishes the split. Essential covers shipment creation, the real-time platform, reports, email alerts for temperature, shock, light, humidity, arrival and departure, and 30, 60 or 120 minute intervals. Plus adds bulk creation, branded sharing links, arrival times, geofences, route deviation and prolonged stop alerts, and text alerts. Premium adds API and webhook access, portals, ocean and air location visibility, custom dashboards and single sign-on.

That published matrix is unusual in this category. A buyer can see which tier it needs before asking for a price.

Potential strengths

  • The tier documentation states that real-time tracking is available in the Essential tier, so a buyer does not need the top tier for core tracking
  • The tracker range runs from the lower-cost Solo Lite for location, temperature and light to the Solo Pro for audit-ready pharmaceutical monitoring

Trade-offs

  • API and webhook access, ocean and air location visibility and single sign-on are documented as Premium-only, so an integrated deployment needs the top tier
  • Visibility depends on placing a device in each shipment, which adds tracker cost and logistics that carrier-data platforms avoid

Decklar (formerly Roambee)

enterpriseroambee.com ↗
Consider forGlobal 2000 manufacturers in pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, chemicals and electronics that want shipment and asset signals to drive planning decisions, because Decklar documents visibility as the input to a decision layer
Pricing notesQuote-based: no rate card was found on the vendor site, which routes enquiries to a get-started request (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateVisibility from carton to container across ocean, air, road and rail, used to trigger replenishment, goods receipt and quality release decisions

Decklar is the name Roambee adopted in September 2025. The press release describes the company as a supply chain visibility provider moving to a real-time decision AI platform. The product fuses shipment and asset signals from the physical layer with data from planning and transport management systems. Its purpose is to turn visibility into decisions for logistics, quality, security, operations, finance and sustainability teams.

The home page lays out the sequence in three steps. The first is unified visibility of shipments and assets across ocean, air, road and rail, from carton to container. The second is decision AI for execution, which triggers actions and automated handoffs rather than alerts alone. The third is decision AI for planning, which feeds live signals into replenishment and re-planning. The named use cases include dynamic replenishment, detention and demurrage avoidance, automated quality release, cargo security, in-transit revenue forecasting, automated goods receipt and reusable asset performance.

The buyer profile is large manufacturers. The site states customer counts among the global top ten in pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, chemicals, electronics, automotive, logistics and food, without naming them.

Potential strengths

  • The documented use cases are concrete business processes, such as dynamic replenishment, automated goods receipt and in-transit revenue forecasting, rather than generic alerts
  • The vendor cites more than ten years of visibility data from its time as Roambee, which it states now covers over 12 million shipment signals a day

Trade-offs

  • The company renamed from Roambee to Decklar in September 2025, so reviews, analyst coverage and procurement records may use either name
  • The site uses large-scale claims, such as enterprise counts in each industry's global top ten, without naming the customers

GoComet GoTrack

mid-marketgocomet.com ↗
Consider forImporters and exporters tracking ocean containers across many carriers, because GoTrack documents more than 500 carrier integrations with free-time and demurrage alerts
Pricing notesOnline container tracking is free for up to six containerised shipments a month. The full GoTrack product is quote-based, with no published rate card (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateFree-time tracking with alerts before free days expire, so a team can arrange clearance, pickup and container return before detention and demurrage charges start

GoComet sells a set of logistics products, and GoTrack is the multimodal tracking component. The products page describes real-time tracking across ocean, air, road, rail and parcel for all carriers on one platform. Arrival predictions draw on vessel AIS data, geofencing and carrier data, with exception detection and transshipment tracking.

The container tracking page documents the day-to-day workflow. A global map shows active shipments across lanes, ports and geographies. Each shipment record shows milestones, carrier updates and container status. The latest arrival time is shown against earlier estimates. Shipments that cross configured thresholds, such as arrival changes, missed milestones or approaching free-day deadlines, are surfaced as exceptions. The vendor states integration with more than 500 carriers and says coverage depends on the carrier.

The pricing position is the most open on this page. GoComet's online container tracking tool is free for up to six containerised shipments a month, and referrals raise the limit. The full product is quoted. GoComet also sells freight procurement and a logistics control tower, which suits a buyer that wants to consolidate.

Potential strengths

  • A free tier for up to six containers a month lets a small importer test the tracking before any sales contact, which no other product on this page publishes
  • The FAQ states that milestone coverage depends on the carrier and the shipment data available, which is a candid limit that most vendors leave out

Trade-offs

  • The free tool and the paid GoTrack product are described on separate pages, and the feature boundary between them is not published
  • GoTrack is one of five GoComet products, so a buyer that wants only tracking should confirm that it can be bought separately from procurement and orchestration modules

Frequently asked questions

What is supply chain visibility software?

Supply chain visibility software collects location and status data for goods in transit from carriers, telematics, vessel feeds and trackers, and turns it into one view with predicted arrival times and exception alerts. The products compared here differ in where the data comes from: carrier networks and telematics for FourKites, project44, Shippeo, MacroPoint and Transporeon, devices inside the load for Tive, combined shipment and asset signals for Decklar, and carrier and vessel feeds for GoComet's container tracking.

How is supply chain visibility software different from shipment tracking software?

Shipment tracking software usually serves online retailers and their customers after purchase, with branded tracking pages and delivery notifications. Supply chain visibility software serves the shipper's logistics team, often for inbound and business-to-business freight, and its output is an arrival prediction and an exception list. Buyers focused on the consumer delivery experience should compare shipment tracking software instead.

How much does supply chain visibility software cost?

Almost none of it is published. In September 2026, of the nine products compared here, only GoComet published a price point, a free online container tracking tool for up to six containerised shipments a month. Tive published its tier feature split but no prices. The other seven route every enquiry to a demo or sales request. Buyers should expect pricing tied to shipment volume, modes and modules, and should ask for the tracking core to be priced separately from agent or planning add-ons.

Should a shipper choose carrier-data visibility or tracker-based visibility?

It depends on the question being asked. Carrier-data platforms read telematics and carrier systems, need no hardware in the load and suit high-volume freight where the question is where and when. Tracker-based products such as Tive put a device in the shipment and report temperature, shock, light and humidity, which suits pharmaceuticals, food and high-value goods where the question is also in what condition. Some shippers use both.

What determines tracking coverage in practice?

Carrier connection. A visibility platform can only show freight whose carrier shares data, through telematics, an application interface, a driver app or a check call. That is why vendors publish network sizes, such as Transporeon's 158,000 carriers and 95 percent telematics coverage, and MacroPoint's 435,000 carriers and drivers. It is also why Shippeo puts carrier onboarding into its guarantee. A buyer should measure coverage on its own carrier list during a pilot.

What are AI agents in supply chain visibility products?

Several vendors now document software agents that act on visibility data instead of only alerting. MacroPoint describes OpsForce AI agents that make the check call, restore tracking and update the customer. FourKites describes digital workers on its Loft platform. project44 describes agents that execute bookings and reroutes. The published figures for these agents are the vendors' own, so a buyer should test them on real exceptions during a pilot.

Do supply chain visibility platforms include transport management?

Some now do. project44 documents a transportation management module inside Movement, and Transporeon sells visibility on the same platform as freight sourcing, time slot management and freight audit. Others, such as Shippeo and MacroPoint, are documented as integrating with existing transport management systems. Buyers that need planning and execution as well as tracking should also compare transportation management systems.

How should buyers read the performance figures on vendor sites?

As vendor claims. Figures such as a 30 percent reduction in supply chain costs, 98 percent of disruptions prevented or a fourfold return in the first season come from the vendors' own material, with no stated baseline, sample or method. They show what a vendor believes it can deliver and which reference customers may talk. They do not predict what a different network will achieve. A pilot on a defined lane set is the reliable test.
