These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.
A B2B ecommerce platform lets a manufacturer, distributor or brand take orders online from business customers instead of by phone, email, spreadsheet or a rep’s order pad. The requirements differ from consumer ecommerce. Each buyer company may have several users, its own catalog and negotiated prices, payment on terms, and orders that must land in the ERP without re-keying. Many sellers also still rely on sales reps and trade shows, so ordering tools for reps matter as much as the web portal.
The ten platforms compared here fall into two groups. RepSpark, NuORDER, WizCommerce, Pepperi, MarketTime and B2B Wave are wholesale-focused tools built around brands and distributors selling to retailers, often with rep apps and line sheets. Sana Commerce Cloud, OroCommerce, BigCommerce B2B Edition and Shopify Plus are broader commerce platforms with deeper account structures, quoting and storefront control. All pricing notes were checked in September 2026. Entries with dated source checks appear first; that records research readiness, not product quality or a ranking.
Related pages cover ERP software and inventory management software, the systems a B2B storefront usually integrates with.
Vendor details and trade-offs
RepSpark
specialistRepSpark is a B2B wholesale platform for brands that sell through their own or independent sales representatives. The vendor says it has built wholesale software since 2007 and describes its model as Wholesale as a Service, pairing the software with an account manager and a professional services manager who leads ERP integration. Its homepage names golf as a core market, stating that more than 9,000 golf merchandisers and 100,000 retailers order on the platform, and lists more than 250 brands as customers.
The product covers the rep-assisted order and the retailer's own reorder. Reps build custom assortments, digital catalogs, line sheets and event microsites, then write orders against allotted or live inventory. Retailers get a free account that lets them place orders at any hour, track orders and pay invoices by card or ACH. Product customization tools and the Insignia decoration integration serve brands that sell embroidered or logo product, which matters in golf and corporate apparel.
Packages are tiered by users and integration depth. Accelerate includes up to 3 users and integrates with Shopify. Professional adds ERP integration, multi-currency and up to 10 users. Enterprise starts at 20 or more users, with full API access, multi-division support across brands, warehouses and countries, and a dedicated account manager.
No prices are published. The enterprise FAQ states that the subscription is annual, priced on internal users, with no transaction fees or GMV percentage, and unlimited retailer access. RepSpark fits rep-driven brands in apparel and golf. It is less suited to a distributor whose buyers order by part number from a large catalog.
Potential strengths
- The pricing page publishes a full feature matrix by package, including user counts, integrations and support levels
- Retailer accounts are unlimited on every package, so adding buyers does not raise the licence cost
- The vendor lists SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI DSS compliance on its enterprise page
Trade-offs
- No figures are published for any package
- The entry Accelerate package integrates with Shopify only; ERP integration starts at Professional, and implementation for Professional or Enterprise is stated at 3 to 9 months

NuORDER by Lightspeed
mid-marketNuORDER is a wholesale ordering platform owned by Lightspeed Commerce, the point-of-sale company, and now marketed as NuORDER by Lightspeed. Its product page describes it as the B2B ecommerce platform trusted by more than 4,000 brands and 100,000 retailers, and the page title cites more than 7,000 brands.
The platform combines a buyer-facing online wholesale portal with tools for in-person and virtual market appointments. Brands build digital line sheets and virtual showrooms with 360-degree imagery, video and shoppable hotspots. Reps and buyers can plan orders together through whiteboarding, and the platform handles pre-orders, available-to-sell inventory, promotions, campaigns and global payments.
NuORDER also runs a retailer partnership program. Its upgrade page states that a free, limited version is available to brands selling to its exclusive retail network, naming Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Macy's and David Jones. That free plan uses manual imports and exports and restricts buyer access and line sheets. The paid plan adds full API and FTP integrations, custom data fields, unlimited buyer access, reporting and the mobile app.
The product page shows US$600 per month, with plans varying by business size. The vendor's upgrade page describes a standard implementation fee of US$7,500 or more, which it waives under current offers. NuORDER fits brands whose wholesale business is built around department store buyers and seasonal markets. Distributors with large replenishment catalogs may find less value in its visual selling tools.
Potential strengths
- The vendor lists 120 or more integrations and support for 15 or more languages
- Virtual showrooms, 360-degree imagery and shoppable hotspots support visual, season-based wholesale selling
- A free plan for brands in the retailer partnership program gives a low-cost starting point for department store accounts
Trade-offs
- The vendor's upgrade page cites a standard implementation fee valued at US$7,500 or more, waived only under promotions
- The free plan is restricted to the partner retailer network and manual data imports; integrations and independent retailers need a paid plan

WizCommerce
smbWizCommerce is an AI-first B2B sales and ecommerce platform for wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers. The company was founded in 2020 as SourceWiz, is headquartered in Bengaluru with US offices, and states that its primary market is North America.
The product is sold as four modules. WizShop is the buyer-facing B2B portal, with customer-specific pricing, product variants with swatches, bulk ordering, one-click reorder and tiered catalogs. WizOrder is the sales rep app for orders taken at customer sites, trade shows or by phone, with customer history, pricing rules and inventory on the device. WizStudio generates product imagery and structured catalog data with AI. WizPay embeds B2B payments and credit terms. A wholesale CRM with AI lead routing sits alongside them.
The differentiator is AI applied to order intake. The vendor describes an order entry assistant that reads orders arriving as emails, PDFs, spreadsheets, scans, voice notes and handwritten documents, applies the merchant's pricing and SKU rules, and pushes clean sales orders into the ERP. The vendor lists more than 100 pre-built integrations and a native NetSuite connector with two-way sync of customers, inventory, orders, products, invoices and payments.
On pricing, the vendor's facts page states subscription plans typically starting around US$500 per month, tailored to size, modules and integration scope. WizCommerce fits wholesalers whose orders still arrive through reps, shows and email. Buyers should weigh the company's short operating history and check references in their own vertical.
Potential strengths
- The vendor publishes an indicative starting price on its own site
- Separate modules cover the B2B portal, the sales rep app, AI catalog imagery and embedded payments
- A native NetSuite connector is stated to need no middleware, alongside QuickBooks, Fishbowl, Epicor P21, SAP and Sage Intacct
Trade-offs
- The company is young, founded in 2020 as SourceWiz and pivoted to WizCommerce, with about US$13.5 million raised
- The starting price is described as typical, so the modules and integrations actually needed must be quoted

Pepperi
mid-marketPepperi is a unified B2B commerce platform for consumer goods brands, wholesalers and distributors. It is now an Advantive company, part of a group of manufacturing and distribution software businesses, and its product page sits on the Advantive site. That page states 1,000 customers across more than 70 countries.
The platform connects every sales channel to the same product, pricing, customer and order data. The B2B ecommerce module gives buyers a branded web portal or mobile app with their own catalog, pricing, discounts and order history. The sales rep app gives reps account data in the field, and managers can track rep activity. Route accounting supports van sales with route planning, replenishment, returns, invoicing and payment collection, and it works offline. Retail execution covers store audits with photo capture and shelf data. A mobile CRM, inside sales tools and trade promotions across online and offline channels complete the set, with APIs and ERP integrations for back-office data.
Pricing is not currently published. The pricing page on the Pepperi domain returned an error when checked, and the Advantive product page offers a 20-minute call and a tailored demo instead of figures.
Pepperi fits consumer goods suppliers whose sales mix includes self-service ordering, reps visiting stores and trucks delivering direct. A wholesaler that only needs a web portal may pay for scope it will not use. Buyers should also ask how the Advantive ownership affects the roadmap.
Potential strengths
- One platform serves self-service buyers, field reps, inside sales and delivery drivers from the same product, pricing and customer data
- Route accounting and retail execution modules are rare among B2B storefront vendors
- The vendor states 1,000 customers across more than 70 countries
Trade-offs
- No current price list is published; the pricing page on the Pepperi domain now returns an error
- Pepperi now belongs to Advantive, so roadmap and support terms should be checked against the parent's plans

MarketTime
specialistMarketTime is a B2B wholesale platform built around independent sales agencies and the manufacturers they represent. Its overview site states that it is trusted by more than 6,500 brands and sales agencies.
The product connects three parties. Sales agencies use MarketTime to write orders on the road and in showrooms through the MarketTime Pro app, manage customers and territories, and track commissions. Manufacturers store product data, images and customer information centrally and share it with approved reps in the MarketTime network. They receive rep-written orders through a secure portal, as more than fifty mapped file formats, or through the MarketTime API, which can also return invoices, shipments, order status and inventory counts.
The B2B ecommerce component is described as a configurable website plugin that gives approved retailers a private marketplace on the seller's own website. Buyers browse products across lines, use shoppable catalogs with hotspots, see promotions and reorder at any time. A multi-brand checkout lets an agency's buyer place orders for several manufacturers in one cart.
Pricing is not listed on the main site. The support center refers to a free BASIC plan for manufacturers and a paid PLUS tier. A vendor sales sheet dated July 2024 lists Order Delivery PLUS at US$600 per year and bundles ecommerce in Bronze, Silver and Gold packages without figures. MarketTime fits rep agencies and the brands that sell through them. Brands selling direct should compare it with standalone portals.
Potential strengths
- Built around the rep agency model, with commission and territory structures respected on web orders
- Manufacturers can download rep-written orders in more than fifty mapped file formats or sync through an API
- A free BASIC plan exists for manufacturers, with paid tiers adding features such as unlimited promotions
Trade-offs
- The only published price found is in a July 2024 sales sheet, so current figures need confirmation
- The ecommerce storefront is described as a website plugin for the seller's own site, which is a narrower model than a full commerce platform

B2B Wave
smbB2B Wave is a subscription B2B ecommerce platform for wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers that want to move phone, email and spreadsheet orders onto a self-service portal.
The product gives each seller an access-protected, branded ordering website. Sellers mass-import products with variants and inventory status, publish personalized product lists and PDF catalogs, and set customer-specific price lists. Orders and quotes are unlimited on every plan, as are customer accounts. A sales rep app for Android and iOS lets internal reps take orders in the field. The site names QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise and Veeqo integrations, and the vendor offers custom integrations through its API or Zapier.
The pricing page is more detailed than most in this category. The Pro plan is listed at GBP 270 per month, with a 50% discount for the first three months. It includes 20,000 products, 10 admin and sales rep users and 20 customer price lists. The Scale plan raises users and price lists to 100 each and adds priority support, advanced order validation, advanced shipping rules and custom reports. Enterprise is quote-based, with limits of up to 500,000 products and 200 users. Every plan states 0% platform transaction fees. Add-ons are priced per extra user, per extra price list and per block of extra products.
B2B Wave fits small and mid-sized distributors that want to launch quickly on a known monthly cost. Sellers with complex ERP-driven pricing, or several brands, should check whether the listed integrations cover their systems.
Potential strengths
- Plan limits and add-on units are published, and a free trial needs no credit card
- The pricing page states 0% platform transaction fees on all plans
- Integrations named on the site include QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise and Veeqo, with an API and Zapier for others
Trade-offs
- The Pro plan caps products at 20,000, users at 10 and customer price lists at 20, with add-ons charged above that
- Advanced order validation rules, advanced shipping rules and custom reports are not included on the Pro plan

Sana Commerce Cloud
mid-marketSana Commerce is a B2B ecommerce vendor whose product, Sana Commerce Cloud, is built to run on top of the customer's ERP. Its homepage positions it as a platform for manufacturers, with negotiated pricing, deep catalogs and live stock across sites.
The distinguishing design choice is ERP integration. Rather than copying prices and stock into a separate commerce database, Sana reads them from the ERP so that each buyer sees their contract price and live availability. The pricing page maps plans to supported ERPs. Essential and Pro support SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV. Advanced adds SAP ECC, SAP Cloud ERP, AX and Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain.
The feature list on the pricing page is long. It covers volume and bundle pricing, sales agreements, quotes and quote-to-order conversion, returns, subscriptions, pre-orders, on-account payment and Sana Pay, bill of materials support, customer assortments, order on behalf of a customer, multi-account hierarchy, multi-storefront, multiple languages and currencies, real-time freight and LTL shipping rates, punch-out, a 3D product configurator, and Tweakwise search and merchandising. The Advanced plan adds multi-installation support, advanced security with single sign-on, advanced analytics and customization.
Sana does not publish prices and asks buyers to request a quote for each plan. The platform fits manufacturers and distributors standardized on SAP or Microsoft Dynamics that want to avoid a separate middleware layer. Businesses on other ERPs, or those wanting a headless build, should compare the more general platforms below.
Potential strengths
- Plans are mapped to named ERPs, including SAP Business One, SAP ECC, SAP Cloud ERP, Dynamics 365 Business Central, NAV, AX and Finance and Supply Chain
- Features such as punch-out, a 3D product configurator, subscriptions and Sana Pay are listed on the pricing page
- Customer stories on the homepage cover machinery, automotive parts, construction and medical supplies
Trade-offs
- No figures are published for any plan
- The ERP-centred model is the point of the product; businesses on an ERP outside the listed families have less reason to choose it

OroCommerce
enterpriseOroCommerce is an open-source B2B ecommerce platform from Oro Inc. Its FAQ describes it as designed from the ground up for manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers, and names mid-market and large enterprises as the best fit.
The licence bundles more than commerce. The editions page lists the B2B commerce engine with catalogs, pricing, quoting, workflows and account structures, an integrated CRM so sales and account teams work in the same system as digital channels, content management, marketplace and multi-vendor tools, checkout, payments and invoicing, and AI features. Named AI features include semantic search, product recommendations, AI SmartOrder and AI SmartAgent, all included in the licence except Google Vertex AI recommendations, which Google bills by usage.
Oro sells two editions. The Community Edition is free to download and customize. The Enterprise Edition adds multi-site and multi-organization structures for multi-brand and international businesses, advanced scalability, Elasticsearch support, OroCloud hosting and 24/7 support. Enterprise licences are priced by GMV band and admin users, with 25 admin users included. Oro states that buyers are not charged for storefronts, customer accounts, catalog size or expansion into new regions and brands.
Oro publishes no Enterprise price and directs buyers to sales. OroCommerce fits distributors and manufacturers with complex account hierarchies, many storefronts or a marketplace plan. Teams considering the Community Edition should budget for hosting, upgrades and the B2B features they will build themselves.
Potential strengths
- A free, open-source Community Edition exists for teams able to self-host
- The pricing page states that extra storefronts, regions, brands, SKUs and buyer accounts do not add licence cost
- Deployment can be OroCloud, a private cloud or on-premises
Trade-offs
- Enterprise pricing is not published and scales with GMV band
- Integrations are handled by the customer's team or an implementation partner rather than included as a service

BigCommerce B2B Edition
mid-marketBigCommerce is a SaaS ecommerce platform whose B2B Edition is its enterprise offering for business buyers. The B2B page targets wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors that need account pricing, buyer portals, quote workflows and approval controls.
The support documentation lists the B2B Edition features. Corporate account management creates company accounts with several tiers of hierarchy and buyer users with specific roles and permissions. The buyer portal gives B2B buyers a dedicated account area and, according to the B2B page, its code is open source. Super admin masquerade lets sales agents place orders on behalf of consenting companies. Sales staff quoting lets agents send quotes with unique products, shipping rates and discounts on top of pre-arranged pricing. Shared shopping lists, buy again, a quick order pad with SKU entry or CSV upload, and an invoice portal where companies see invoice history and pay balances round out the buyer tools. Merchants can show or hide payment methods, including purchase orders, per company.
B2B Edition works with native multi-currency, with multi-storefront, and with the Catalyst headless storefront through the buyer portal.
Self-service plans start at US$29 per month billed annually. Plan thresholds follow trailing GMV and auto-upgrade, and orders through open payment providers carry a fee on those plans. B2B Edition itself is requested through a customer success manager or sales, with no published price. BigCommerce fits sellers that want a SaaS platform for mixed B2B and B2C. ERP-centred manufacturers should compare its integration route with the ERP-first options above.
Potential strengths
- B2B and B2C run from the same back end, with multi-storefront support
- The buyer portal code is open source, so it can be customized without starting from scratch
- Company-specific payment terms, purchase orders and invoice payment are documented features
Trade-offs
- B2B Edition pricing is not published; it is requested through a customer success manager or sales
- Self-service plan thresholds are tied to trailing GMV and auto-upgrade, and open payment providers carry a GMV-based fee on self-service plans

Shopify Plus (B2B on Shopify)
enterpriseShopify is the largest horizontal ecommerce platform in this comparison, and its Plus plan is aimed at high-growth and enterprise merchants. The Plus pricing page lists B2B on Shopify among the features exclusive to the plan, alongside headless commerce, checkout customizations, Shopify Functions and Managed Markets. The Shopify help center describes B2B on Shopify as a suite of native features for selling to businesses through the Shopify admin and online store.
The B2B model is based on companies. A merchant sets up each B2B customer as a company, then personalizes that company's buying experience: which products and catalogs it sees, its prices, its currency, its payment and shipping methods, and the store content shown to it. Merchants can run B2B and D2C in one store or open a separate B2B-only store, and the help center notes that most B2B features are turned on by default.
The attraction for many sellers is consolidation. A brand already running its consumer store on Shopify can add wholesale accounts without a second platform, second product catalog or second checkout.
The Plus pricing page lists a starting price of US$2,500 per month on a 1-year term or US$2,300 per month on a 3-year term, with a variable platform fee for more complex business structures. Transaction fees and card rates vary by region. Shopify Plus fits D2C brands adding wholesale. Distributors with heavy quoting, ERP pricing or very large catalogs should compare it with the B2B-first platforms above.
Potential strengths
- Shopify publishes a starting price for Plus
- B2B features are native to the admin, and most are turned on by default on plans that support them
- One store can serve both B2B and D2C, or a separate B2B-only store can be created
Trade-offs
- B2B on Shopify is listed as a Plus feature, so a wholesale-only business pays the Plus minimum
- Complex ERP-driven pricing and large part-number catalogs usually rely on apps or custom integration rather than native features
- Product reference
- Product documentation
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: 1-year or 3-year term

Frequently asked questions
What is a B2B ecommerce platform?
It is software that lets a business sell online to other businesses, such as retailers, distributors or contractors. Compared with a consumer store, it adds company accounts with several buyers, customer-specific catalogs and prices, quotes, purchase orders and payment on terms, reorder tools, and integration with the seller's ERP so orders arrive without re-keying.
What is the difference between wholesale ordering platforms and general B2B commerce platforms?
Wholesale ordering platforms such as RepSpark, NuORDER, MarketTime and WizCommerce are built around brands selling to retailers, often through sales reps and trade shows, with line sheets, assortments and rep apps. General B2B commerce platforms such as OroCommerce, Sana Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce B2B Edition and Shopify Plus are built for any business selling online to trade accounts, with deeper account hierarchies, quoting and storefront control.
Which of these platforms publish pricing?
Four publish some figures. B2B Wave lists Pro at GBP 270 per month. Shopify Plus starts at US$2,300 to US$2,500 per month depending on term. NuORDER's product page shows US$600 per month, and WizCommerce's own facts page gives a typical start around US$500 per month. BigCommerce publishes self-service plans but not B2B Edition. RepSpark, Pepperi, Sana and OroCommerce Enterprise are quote-based.
Do B2B ecommerce platforms charge transaction fees?
It varies. B2B Wave states 0% platform transaction fees, RepSpark states no transaction or GMV-based charges. OroCommerce licenses by GMV band. BigCommerce's self-service plans charge a fee on orders processed through open payment providers. Shopify Plus notes that transaction fees and card rates vary by region.
How important is ERP integration when choosing a platform?
It usually decides the project. B2B buyers expect their contract price and live stock, and those live in the ERP. Sana Commerce Cloud reads them directly from supported SAP and Microsoft Dynamics ERPs. WizCommerce documents a native NetSuite connector. RepSpark adds ERP integration from its Professional package. Buyers should ask for a reference customer on the same ERP version before signing.
Can one platform serve both B2B and consumer customers?
Yes, several do. Shopify lets one store serve B2B and D2C buyers, or run a separate B2B-only store. BigCommerce runs B2B and B2C from the same back end. OroCommerce's FAQ lists multi-channel brands selling both B2B and B2C among its customers. The wholesale-focused tools in this comparison are designed for trade buyers and are not intended as consumer storefronts.
How long does a B2B ecommerce implementation take?
Vendor statements range widely. RepSpark gives a few weeks for its Accelerate package and 3 to 9 months for Professional or Enterprise, depending on ERP and data readiness. B2B Wave offers guided onboarding for a one-time fee. NuORDER cites a standard implementation fee of US$7,500 or more. Timelines for OroCommerce, Sana and BigCommerce B2B Edition depend on the implementation partner and the ERP integration.
How should this comparison be used?
Use the documented buyer fit, source status, pricing and trade-offs to narrow a shortlist to two or three platforms. Then ask each finalist for a demo using real customer-specific prices, a sample order flowing into the ERP, and a reference customer of similar size in the same vertical. This page records public documentation and pricing checks, not hands-on testing.
