Best Hotel Management Software (2026): Top 10 Compared

Updated October 2026By StatWharf Editorial10 vendorsMethodology

Hotel management software runs the daily operation of a property: reservations, front desk, rooms and rates, housekeeping, guest billing and reporting. Most products are built around a property management system (PMS) and add a channel manager, booking engine and payments, either included or sold as modules. The ten products below fall into three groups. Cloudbeds, Mews, Oracle OPERA Cloud, Stayntouch and Hotelogix sell broad platforms on quotes. Apaleo, WebRezPro and innRoad publish a per-room price or a typical monthly figure. RoomRaccoon and Little Hotelier package the PMS, channel manager and booking engine for small hotels and B&Bs, with prices shown through a calculator or by region.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

Hotel management software is the operating system of a hotel. It holds every reservation, assigns rooms, runs check-in and check-out, posts charges to guest folios, tracks housekeeping and produces the reports that owners and managers use to run the property. Around that core, most vendors now sell distribution, direct booking, payments, guest messaging and pricing tools.

The market splits by the size of the operator and by how much of the stack one vendor supplies. Oracle OPERA Cloud, Mews, Cloudbeds and Stayntouch sell broad platforms to independent hotels, groups and chains, mostly on quotes. Apaleo sells an open, API-first PMS at a published per-room price and leaves other tools to its app store. WebRezPro and innRoad publish per-unit or typical prices for independent properties, and RoomRaccoon, Little Hotelier and Hotelogix package all-in-one systems for small and mid-sized hotels. Pricing tools built for revenue managers are covered separately on the revenue management software page.

The comparison covers ten products. Details come from each vendor’s public product and pricing pages, checked on 12 October 2026.

Feature to evaluateBuilt for chain operations, with tiles controllable at chain, property and user level and a single guest profile across all properties

OPERA Cloud Property Management is Oracle Hospitality's cloud PMS, the successor to the on-premises OPERA system used widely by hotel chains. Oracle describes it as purpose-built for hotel operations and suitable for hotels of various sizes and complexities.

The product page highlights a dashboard of more than 30 preconfigured tiles covering front desk, revenue, inventory and housekeeping, which can be controlled at chain, property or user level. Staff can check guests in or out directly from the tiles, and the system runs on mobile devices so service can move away from the front desk. Guest profiles hold preferences, communication choices and spending, and multi-property operators get centralised profiles across all hotels. OPERA Cloud integrates with Oracle MICROS point of sale and kitchen management. Oracle sells sales and event management, Nor1 upsell, reporting and analytics, and OPERA Distribution as separate products alongside the PMS.

How to choose a vendor

Decide between an all-in-one suite and an open PMS

Some vendors bundle distribution, payments, guest messaging and pricing into one contract. Cloudbeds One includes its channel manager and booking engine, Mews Pro includes revenue management and a housekeeping suite, and RoomRaccoon and Little Hotelier include a channel manager and booking engine on every tier. Apaleo takes the opposite approach: it sells the PMS and its APIs, and the hotel adds other tools from its app store. Stayntouch and WebRezPro sit between the two, with core modules included and integrations to third-party systems. Count the systems the hotel already pays for before deciding which model saves money.

Ask how the price is counted

Most hotel software is priced per room or per unit per month, with a minimum. Apaleo charges €8 per room per month with a €400 minimum, and WebRezPro charges $10 per unit with a $100 minimum and step-ups in larger bands. Mews states that its plans are priced per room. RoomRaccoon prices by room count and counts hostel beds at a discount. Little Hotelier adds a 1% booking fee on its Basics plan. Payments modules usually carry transaction fees on top of the subscription, so request the processing rate as well as the licence price.

Check contract length, onboarding and support

innRoad sells month to month and states that customers can cancel at any time. WebRezPro signs yearly contracts but allows cancellation on 30 days' written notice. Enterprise suites such as Oracle OPERA Cloud and Mews Enterprise are scoped by sales. Ask who migrates reservation history, how many days of training are included, whether support runs around the clock by phone and what the vendor charges for each additional integration.

Frequently asked questions

What is hotel management software?

Hotel management software runs the daily operation of a hotel. At its centre is a property management system that handles reservations, the front desk, room status, guest billing and reporting. Most products add a channel manager to sell rooms on booking sites, a booking engine for direct reservations, payments, housekeeping tools and, increasingly, revenue management and guest messaging.

How much does hotel management software cost?

Apaleo publishes €8 per room per month with a €400 monthly minimum. WebRezPro charges $10 per unit per month with a $100 minimum. innRoad estimates around $150 per month for the core PMS at most properties. RoomRaccoon calculates a price from room count, and Little Hotelier shows monthly prices by region. Cloudbeds, Mews, Oracle OPERA Cloud, Stayntouch and Hotelogix quote.

What is the difference between a PMS and hotel management software?

A property management system is the core record of rooms, rates, reservations and guest accounts. Hotel management software usually means the PMS plus connected tools such as a channel manager, booking engine, payments, point of sale, housekeeping and revenue management. Some vendors, such as Cloudbeds and RoomRaccoon, sell all of these together, while Apaleo sells an open PMS and relies on third-party apps.

Which hotel management systems include a channel manager?

RoomRaccoon and Little Hotelier include a channel manager on every plan. Cloudbeds includes its channel manager from the One plan up, and Mews includes one on Pro. Stayntouch lists a channel manager in its package, and Hotelogix lists an integrated channel manager. innRoad sells channel management as a module. Apaleo and WebRezPro connect to third-party channel managers through integrations.

Which options suit small hotels and B&Bs?

RoomRaccoon's Entry and Essentials tiers are described for B&Bs and small hotels, and Little Hotelier is built for small properties such as B&Bs, guesthouses and motels. WebRezPro's $100 monthly minimum covers properties up to 10 units at its per-unit rate. innRoad offers month-to-month terms. Apaleo's €400 monthly minimum is equivalent to 50 rooms, so smaller hotels pay more per room.

Which options suit hotel chains and groups?

Oracle OPERA Cloud is built for chain operations, with tiles controlled at chain, property or user level and centralised guest profiles. Mews Enterprise and Cloudbeds Enterprise are scoped for groups, brands and management companies. Stayntouch lists hotel management groups among its customers, and Apaleo's API-first model suits groups that run their own technology stack.

How is hotel management software different from revenue management software?

Hotel management software runs operations and holds the reservations. Revenue management software forecasts demand and sets room rates, then sends those rates to the PMS or channel manager. Several PMS vendors on this page offer pricing tools, including Mews Pro, Cloudbeds' revenue management add-on and RoomRaccoon's RaccoonRev Plus. Standalone systems are compared on StatWharf's revenue management software page.

How was this comparison compiled?

StatWharf Editorial compared ten hotel management software products using each vendor's public product and pricing pages, checked on 12 October 2026. Prices reflect what those pages showed on that date and exclude taxes. No product was tested hands-on, and no vendor reviewed or confirmed its entry. Buyer fit is drawn from vendor documentation, not from a ranking.
