These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.
Data integration platforms move data between operational systems, applications and analytical stores, and in most cases transform it along the way. A buyer searching for one is sometimes looking for a warehouse loader, sometimes for middleware that keeps two business applications in agreement, and increasingly for a governed layer that supplies current data to AI agents.
The market splits along two lines that matter during procurement. The first is architecture. Fivetran, Airbyte, Matillion, Estuary Flow and Hevo Data are built around loading and transforming data for analytics. Boomi, SnapLogic and Celigo are integration platforms as a service, built around application and API connectivity. Informatica and Qlik Talend Cloud sell broad data management suites in which movement is one service among quality, catalogue and lineage.
The second line is the pricing unit. Row and event metering, per-gigabyte rates, execution-time credits, compute capacity and endpoint counts are all in use, each rewarding a different workload shape.
Four vendors publish prices and six quote every tier, so a like-for-like comparison generally requires a scoped quote. All pricing notes below were checked in September 2026. Entries with dated source checks appear first; that records research readiness, not product quality or a ranking.
Vendor details and trade-offs
Fivetran
enterpriseFivetran is a managed data movement platform. The homepage describes more than 900 sources and destinations covering SaaS applications, databases, ERPs and file connectors, landing data in a warehouse or lake and activating it back into business applications. The pricing page sets out what the Standard plan includes: more than 700 fully managed connectors, more than 200 managed activation destinations, 15-minute syncs, unlimited users, role-based access control, access to the Fivetran REST API, SSH tunnels for encryption and integration with dbt Core.
Four plans are listed. Free provides core platform functionality at low volume. Standard is the general commercial tier. Enterprise adds one-minute syncs, enterprise database connectors, custom roles, VPN tunnels on annual contracts, SCIM user provisioning, a choice of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, and a hybrid deployment option in which processing runs inside the customer estate. Business Critical adds customer-managed encryption keys, PCI DSS Level 1 certification and private networking. Alongside replication, the Managed Data Lake Service writes into open table formats including Iceberg and Delta Lake, and SQL transformation models run inside the destination on a schedule.
Pricing is consumption-based across three metered product lines under a single plan. The Free allowance is 500,000 monthly active rows for connections, 3,500 monthly active rows for activations and 5,000 monthly model runs for transformations. Paid tiers publish no fixed entry price. Each connection follows its own cost curve, so the spend rate declines as usage grows, and transformation runs above the included 5,000 are tiered at $0.01, $0.007 and $0.002. The documented fit is an organisation that would rather buy maintained connectors than staff a pipeline team, or a regulated buyer that needs hybrid deployment. The metering unit is the main procurement risk, and the 14-day per-connection trial is the published way to measure real change volume first.
Potential strengths
- Free plan covers 500,000 monthly active rows for connections
- Connections, transformations and activations bill under one consolidated plan
- Unit cost falls automatically as monthly volume rises
Trade-offs
- No list price published for any paid tier
- Monthly active row metering is difficult to forecast before a trial
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Monthly consumption billing; annual contracts save up to 22%; fixed-price Enterprise License Agreements offered
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Airbyte
open-sourceAirbyte is an open-source data movement platform. The homepage states that ELT pipelines run across more than 700 connectors into any warehouse, lake, vector database or AI agent, and positions a queryable Context Store as the layer agents reason over instead of stitching APIs at runtime. The pricing comparison table lists more than 600 connectors on every tier, together with change data capture, schema propagation, column selection and cron scheduling.
The editions differ mainly in deployment boundary and governance. Core is the self-hosted open-source distribution. Standard is fully managed cloud hosting billed on data volume. Pro adds multiple workspaces, single sign-on, role-based access control, 15-minute syncs and custom mappings. Enterprise Flex targets regulated industries that need sovereign data movement inside their own boundary with a hybrid deployment whose control plane stays managed by Airbyte. Governance features listed across the higher tiers include field hashing and encryption, row filtering, external secret references, multiple data regions, AWS PrivateLink, user groups with SCIM and OpenTelemetry metrics. Extensibility is documented through the Airbyte API, a Terraform provider, PyAirbyte and integrations with Airflow, Dagster and Prefect.
Two pricing models sit side by side. Replication on Standard is volume-based and starts at $10 per month. Pro uses capacity-based pricing built on Data Workers, the dedicated compute units that run pipelines, so scaling means adding capacity rather than paying for volume spikes. The separate agent plans are metered in agent operations: Free at $0 per month for 1,000 operations with no overage, Individual at $29 per month for 5,000 operations with overage at $0.004, and Team at $299 per month for 10,000 operations with overage at $0.005. Custom limits are quoted. The documented fit is a team that wants catalogue breadth and deployment control without a licence commitment on day one.
Potential strengths
- Self-hosted Core edition carries no licence fee
- Connector builder and development kit cover sources outside the catalogue
- Capacity-based Pro pricing removes exposure to volume spikes
Trade-offs
- Self-hosting moves reliability and upgrade work to the customer
- Pro and Enterprise Flex require a sales conversation to price
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Monthly for Standard; Pro and Enterprise Flex priced by Data Worker capacity through sales; separate agent plans at $0, $29 and $299 per month

Informatica
enterpriseInformatica sells data integration and engineering inside the Intelligent Data Management Cloud. The product page describes ingestion, integration and cleansing aimed at analytics and AI workloads, with high-performance ELT and ETL, data replication and change data capture through Cloud Mass Ingestion. Integration runs on virtually any cloud using ETL, ELT, Spark or a fully managed serverless option, and the page states support for data fabric, data mesh and data lakehouse architecture patterns. CLAIRE, the platform AI engine, supplies recommendations for source datasets and next-best transformations, and an optimisation engine handles automated cost control.
The commercial model is the distinguishing feature. Informatica Processing Units give a customer access to every eligible cloud service listed in the Cloud and Product Description Schedule, plus master data management on a per-domain records basis. Rather than licensing each capability separately, a buyer purchases a pool of processing units and spends it wherever the need arises, swapping services as requirements change. Consumption is calculated per scaler based on that scaler's usage, including Secure Agent, CDI-e and data mass ingestion volume, with the measurement rules published in the Informatica Measurement Guide.
Cost governance is handled inside the product. The administrator controls which users can reach each service, monitors usage through a real-time dashboard and sets consumption threshold alerts so spend is contained before it is invoiced. No unit price appears anywhere on the pricing page, so every engagement requires a quote. The documented fit is a large organisation that wants one contract and one metering unit across many integration patterns and expects to add use cases over a multi-year term. Buyers with a single narrow pipeline requirement gain little from the breadth, and the sizing exercise that precedes a quote should be scheduled into any procurement timeline.
Potential strengths
- One consumption pool covers ETL, ELT, replication, CDC and master data services
- Usage dashboard and threshold alerts are built into the admin console
- New eligible services activate automatically for existing customers
Trade-offs
- No price is published for an IPU or for any service
- Processing unit consumption varies by scaler, so forecasting needs the measurement guide
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Not recorded; the pricing page describes consumption against a purchased IPU pool without stating a billing cadence
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Qlik Talend Cloud
enterpriseQlik Talend Cloud combines the Qlik and Talend data integration portfolios into one platform for delivering governed data to analytics and AI. The product page describes agentless change data capture from databases, SAP, mainframe and SaaS sources, native integrations with Snowflake, AWS, Apache Iceberg, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and point-and-click pipeline construction that removes job scheduling and scripting. An agentic data engineering layer runs specialist agents for data quality, stewardship glossaries and data products, with automated builds, fixes and monitoring under human-in-the-loop approval, and a Qlik MCP Server for connecting external agents and tools.
The four editions form a clear capability ladder. Starter moves data from SaaS applications and databases into cloud data warehouses with ready-to-query schemas, field-level metadata, data profiling and a catalogue. Standard adds real-time synchronisation using log-based change data capture, broader database and file-format connectivity, cloud, client-managed or hybrid deployment, private access between VPCs and on-premises networks, and Qlik Open Lakehouse with Apache Iceberg optimisation. Premium adds ELT and ETL transformation, warehouse and lakehouse automation, column-level lineage and impact analysis, Spark batch processing, application and API integration, data products, a data marketplace, data quality and profiling, stewardship workflows and the Qlik Talend Trust Score. Enterprise adds the comprehensive SAP application and mainframe connectivity.
No edition carries a published price, so every tier is quoted. Qlik also documents adjacent offerings that buyers frequently confuse: Qlik Data Integration is the client-managed pipeline product, and Talend Data Fabric is the client-managed integration, integrity and quality environment. The documented fit is a regulated enterprise whose sources include legacy transaction systems and whose requirement extends past movement into quality and governance. A team replicating a handful of cloud databases will find the ladder places most of that value behind higher editions.
Potential strengths
- Comprehensive SAP and mainframe connectivity documented at the Enterprise edition
- Data quality, lineage and stewardship ship inside the same platform
- Cloud, client-managed and hybrid deployment are all supported
Trade-offs
- No prices published for any of the four editions
- The capability ladder puts transformation and governance several tiers above ingestion
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Not recorded; the pricing page lists four subscription editions and a client-managed option without stating a cadence
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Boomi
enterpriseBoomi sells an enterprise integration platform that connects applications, data and devices. The platform page describes a library of pre-built application connectors and integration recipes, hybrid deployment through a single-instance multi-tenant architecture that keeps integrations synchronised across cloud, on-premises and edge environments, and automatic platform updates that deploy synchronised changes to integration processes. Boomi Suggest draws on more than 300 million self-learning integrations to recommend entity mappings during development, and Boomi Assure allows test versions of an integration to be uploaded so software updates do not introduce regressions. Branch and merge support allows parallel development on the same integration.
Pricing is organised by capability rather than by a single ladder. The Integration line runs Professional, Professional Plus, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus above a standard feature set. Standard covers the full library of standard connectors, mapping and transformation, email and community support, and production deployment only. Professional adds advanced process orchestration and workflow, multiple deployment environments for lifecycle management, deployment to the Boomi hosted public cloud, eligibility for enterprise connectors at extra cost and access to Premier Support. Professional Plus bundles API enablement and additional connections. Enterprise adds custom roles, clustered runtime for high availability and load balancing, parallel processing and larger data loads. Enterprise Plus adds message queuing. Parallel ladders exist for API Management and for Data Hub, the master data capability.
No figures appear on the pricing page. Buyers either select a subscription plan scoped to the capabilities needed or use pay-as-you-go usage-based pricing, and a 30-day trial of the full platform precedes either. The documented fit is an organisation that wants application integration, API management and EDI under one vendor and one skill set. Teams whose requirement is warehouse loading alone will be buying more surface area than the job needs.
Potential strengths
- Integration, API management, EDI and data management share one interface
- Pay-as-you-go option exists alongside committed subscription plans
- Single-instance multi-tenant architecture spans cloud, on-premises and edge
Trade-offs
- No prices published for any plan or capability
- Enterprise connectors are billed separately on top of the Professional plan
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Not recorded; either a capability-scoped subscription plan or usage-based pay-as-you-go, both quoted
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
SnapLogic
enterpriseSnapLogic sells a single platform for creating, integrating and orchestrating data products, applications, APIs and AI agents. The platform overview lists more than 1,000 pre-built connectors, called Snaps, along with integration templates for common business processes. Deployment is flexible across on-premises installations, cloud-hosted applications and hybrid environments, and access controls and encryption are documented as the basis of its security model. Product modules span Data Integration for visual ETL, ELT and reverse ETL, Application Integration as a low-code iPaaS, API Management, AgentCreator for building governed AI agents, SnapGPT as a generative AI copilot that translates business intent into pipelines, SLIM for assessing and migrating legacy integrations, AutoSync for automated SaaS ingestion into cloud warehouses, and AutoPrep for data preparation.
The commercial model is the clearest differentiator in this comparison. Rather than metering rows, events or gigabytes, SnapLogic sells packages that include unlimited pipelines, unlimited data movement and unlimited transformations. Buyers choose the data and application endpoints they want to connect, and price follows the endpoint count rather than throughput. The pricing page states explicitly that CloudPlex and GroundPlex deployment carry the same price, so running the execution layer inside a customer network does not attract a premium.
Three packages are named: Essential, Professional and Enterprise One. Each includes online training, a customer success manager and support. Advanced capabilities are positioned as add-ons, including AgentCreator, API Management, AI Gateway, ultra low-latency workflows, AutoSync, ELT, high-performance nodes and advanced security. No prices appear, so packages and add-ons are quoted. The documented fit is an enterprise with high or unpredictable data volumes across a countable set of systems, where consumption metering would make budgets volatile. Buyers with many low-volume endpoints face the opposite arithmetic and should price the endpoint count carefully.
Potential strengths
- Endpoint-based packages remove data volume from the cost equation
- 1,000-plus pre-built Snaps cover data and application integration in one catalogue
- Training, a customer success manager and support are included in every package
Trade-offs
- No package price is published, so endpoint counts must be scoped with sales
- Several capabilities including ELT, API management and AgentCreator are paid add-ons
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Not recorded; package subscription priced on endpoints, charged identically for CloudPlex and GroundPlex deployment
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Matillion
mid-marketMatillion sells the Data Productivity Cloud, a cloud-native data integration platform with a low-code pipeline canvas alongside SQL and Python components. Maia, described as an agentic data team, builds, manages and orchestrates pipelines across all three editions and is available on a time-bound fair-use trial. Every edition includes unlimited projects, pre-built connectors, custom connectors built without code, real-time validation and sampling components during development, full SaaS deployment and a built-in Git repository.
The editions separate on team size, security and operational depth. Developer covers one developer user with unlimited admin users, community support, built-in single sign-on only and 90-day log retention. Teams raises the count to five developer users and adds an audit log, standard customer support and a service level agreement included with an annual subscription. Scale keeps five developer users and adds custom single sign-on, hybrid cloud deployment on customer-hosted agent infrastructure, end-to-end data lineage, streaming change data capture pipelines, bring-your-own Git integration, 180-day log retention extensible to 365 days, optional Premium Support and PrivateLink as an add-on.
Consumption runs on Matillion Credits, described as the smallest unit of charge. Credits are consumed by task hours, the combined execution time of the granular tasks a pipeline run is decomposed into, and by any developer users beyond the number included in the edition. The pricing page states clearly that validation and sampling are not billed, which matters during development. No credit price is published. One Data Productivity Cloud account carries a single active subscription and therefore a single edition, so a team needing both Developer and Scale behaviour must run separate accounts. Billing can be contracted directly or routed through an existing AWS, Azure or Snowflake account. The documented fit is a warehouse-centric data team that wants execution-time billing rather than row or volume metering.
Potential strengths
- Validation and sampling operations do not consume credits
- Built-in Git repository at every edition, with bring-your-own Git at Scale
- Cloud marketplace billing available through AWS, Azure or Snowflake
Trade-offs
- No credit price is published, so consumption cannot be costed in advance
- One account carries one edition, so mixed requirements need separate subscriptions
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Credits consumed against one subscription per account; the SLA requires an annual subscription; contracting direct or through AWS, Azure or Snowflake
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Celigo
mid-marketCeligo sells an enterprise iPaaS built around application integration with a data integration module attached. The platform page lists six capability areas: Application Integration with prebuilt connectors and flexible workflows across ERP, CRM, ecommerce and HR systems, both cloud and on-premises; API Management for turning integrations into governed internal or partner APIs; B2B Manager for EDI trading partner onboarding across multiple standards; Agent Builder for combining AI-driven and deterministic control in governed agents; and Data Integration, described as an ETL and ELT engine for unifying, transforming and moving high-volume data into a data warehouse for business intelligence. Ora, the platform assistant, builds, runs and troubleshoots flows, APIs, agents and MCP servers.
Connector coverage is weighted toward commerce and back-office operations. The published catalogue of more than 1,000 prebuilt connectors names Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace and eBay on the commerce side, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Sage Intacct, Acumatica and QuickBooks on the ERP and finance side, ShipBob, ShipStation and Fulfillment by Amazon in logistics, and Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Tableau and Looker among analytics targets. Governance is documented through automatic action tracking, audit visibility and SOC 2 compliance.
Pricing is flat-rate and metered on endpoints and flows rather than tasks, transactions, data volume or vCores, with the pricing page stating no overage fees when usage spikes. Three editions are named. Standard covers critical integrations with multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, optional single sign-on and standard support SLAs. Professional adds API Builder, lookup cache, included single sign-on with auditability, a sandbox and enhanced support. Enterprise includes unlimited endpoints, maximum performance and the fastest support SLAs. No prices are published. The documented fit is an operations-heavy business whose integration estate is a stable set of systems exchanging high transaction volume.
Potential strengths
- Endpoint and flow metrics avoid task and transaction-based overage
- Deep prebuilt coverage of ERP, ecommerce, 3PL and marketplace systems
- Support with stated SLAs is included at no extra cost on every edition
Trade-offs
- No edition price is published, so endpoint and flow counts must be scoped first
- Unlimited endpoints are reserved for the Enterprise edition
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Not recorded; flat-rate edition subscription, with the pricing page stating no overage fees
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Estuary Flow
mid-marketEstuary Flow is a data movement platform that runs streaming, log-based change data capture and batch loading in one pipeline model. The homepage states latency under 100 milliseconds, more than 200 connected systems, three petabytes moved per month, 99.9 percent uptime and more than 5,500 users. Pipelines are built as ETL or ELT using connectors for databases and warehouses, and change data capture feeds analytics, operations and AI workloads from the same capture.
Plan features are unusually flat. Every tier includes more than 200 fully managed connectors, unlimited users, millisecond latency or batch at no extra charge, role-based access control, bring-your-own cloud storage, US and EU processing regions, SSH tunnel support, UI and CLI management, dbt Cloud integration, Kafka compatibility, and real-time monitoring and alerting. Enterprise adds volume discounts, SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance reports, single sign-on, custom SLA terms, private and bring-your-own-cloud deployments on annual contracts, provisioned servers, custom regions, PrivateLink and Google Service Connect, performance tuning, migration assistance and custom connector development.
The bill has two components. Data usage is charged on the volume sourced, transformed and delivered at $0.50 per GB. Connector instance usage is charged at $100 per month for each of the first six instances and $50 per month for each additional instance, prorated. The free tier allows indefinite use up to 10 GB per month across two connector instances, and Cloud customers can request a 30-day trial that begins automatically once those limits are exceeded. Because a source is captured once into the customer cloud bucket, adding a target charges only for the new target and the data sent to it rather than a fresh extraction. Prepaid volume attracts larger discounts at higher commitments. The structure rewards a small number of high-volume pipelines and penalises many low-volume ones.
Potential strengths
- Published per-GB and per-connector rates allow a bill to be estimated up front
- Adding a destination does not require re-extracting from the source
- Millisecond latency or batch carries no extra charge on any plan
Trade-offs
- Fixed per-connector fees penalise many small low-volume sources
- Around 200 connectors is a narrower catalogue than the largest vendors
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Monthly pay-as-you-go by card or 30-day invoice, or discounted prepay usable over up to 12 months; Enterprise invoiced, with annual contracts required for private and BYOC deployments
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Hevo Data
smbHevo Data is an ELT platform that combines extraction, loading and dbt-based modelling in a single product. The homepage states more than 150 prebuilt connectors, more than 2,000 customers and a petabyte of data processed monthly, with automatic handling of schema drift, intelligent recovery of failed records and proactive alerts on changes. Documented use cases cover database replication using change data capture without impacting the production database, and replication from third-party SaaS applications without managing API updates or rate limits. Pipeline management includes APIs, CI/CD deployment and granular operational logs.
Pricing is metered in events, defined on the pricing page as each record inserted, updated or deleted in the destination. The Free plan costs nothing, covers up to 1 million events per month on a limited connector set, allows up to five users and runs on one-hour scheduling. Starter is $299 per month billed monthly or $239 billed annually, and within the plan a buyer selects a 5, 20 or 50 million event tier. It raises the limit to ten users and adds all available connectors, dbt integration, SSH and SSL, and 24x7 email and live chat support. Professional is $849 monthly or $679 annually across 20, 50 or 100 million event tiers, and adds unlimited users, pipeline automation APIs, reverse SSH and access to add-ons. Business Critical is quoted and adds streaming pipelines, role-based access control, single sign-on, multiple workspaces, VPC peering and advanced security certificates.
Annual billing saves 20 percent at every paid level, a 14-day trial requires no credit card, and usage above a plan quota is charged on demand rather than blocked. The documented fit is a team that wants a price before a sales conversation and can live with one-hour sync frequency until the top tier.
Potential strengths
- Every tier except Business Critical carries a published monthly price
- Free plan covers up to 1 million events per month indefinitely
- dbt integration and 24x7 email and chat support included from the Starter plan
Trade-offs
- Streaming pipelines are gated behind the quoted Business Critical tier
- Single sign-on, RBAC and VPC peering are Business Critical features only
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Pay monthly or pay annually at 20 percent off; 14-day free trial with no credit card; usage above plan quota billed on demand
- Source review: checked Sep 18, 2026

Frequently asked questions
What is a data integration platform?
A data integration platform moves data between operational systems, applications and analytical stores, and usually transforms it on the way. The category covers several architectures. ELT platforms load raw data into a warehouse and transform it there. Integration platform as a service products connect applications and APIs to each other. Streaming platforms deliver changes continuously rather than in scheduled batches. Enterprise data management suites bundle movement with quality, catalogue and governance capabilities under one contract.
How do ELT platforms differ from iPaaS products?
ELT platforms such as Fivetran, Airbyte, Matillion, Estuary Flow and Hevo Data are built to land data in a warehouse or lake for analytics, and they meter rows, events, gigabytes or execution time. An iPaaS such as Boomi, SnapLogic or Celigo is built to keep business applications in sync, with orchestration, API management and in many cases EDI attached. The distinction is blurring: Celigo and SnapLogic both document ETL and ELT modules aimed at warehouse loading.
Which data integration platforms publish their prices?
Four of the ten publish figures. Airbyte lists Cloud Standard from $10 per month and agent plans at $0, $29 and $299. Estuary Flow lists $0.50 per GB plus $100 per month for each of the first six connector instances. Hevo Data lists Starter at $239 per month billed annually and Professional at $679. Fivetran publishes free-tier allowances and transformation rates but no paid plan price. Informatica, Qlik, Boomi, SnapLogic, Matillion and Celigo quote every tier.
How is data integration pricing usually metered?
Five models appear across this comparison. Row or event volume underpins Fivetran monthly active rows and Hevo events. Data volume in gigabytes underpins Estuary Flow. Execution time underpins Matillion credits, charged on pipeline task hours. Compute capacity underpins Airbyte Pro Data Workers and Informatica processing units. Endpoint or flow counts underpin SnapLogic packages and Celigo editions, which decouple price from throughput entirely. Forecasting cost therefore requires knowing which unit a shortlist actually charges.
Which platforms handle SAP and mainframe sources?
Qlik Talend Cloud documents agentless change data capture from databases, SAP and mainframe sources, with the comprehensive SAP application and mainframe connectivity reserved for its Enterprise edition. Fivetran lists SAP among the ERP connectors inside its catalogue of more than 900 sources and destinations. Informatica covers replication and change data capture through Cloud Mass Ingestion across its connector estate. Buyers with legacy transaction systems should expect a quoted enterprise contract rather than a self-serve plan.
Does an open-source platform cost less than a managed service?
The licence fee is zero, but the total is not. The Airbyte Core edition removes the hosting charge and transfers deployment, upgrades, monitoring and reliability work to the customer. For a team that already operates the infrastructure, that marginal cost is small. For a small analytics team without platform engineering support, a managed plan is usually cheaper once staff time is counted. The Core edition remains a low-risk way to test connector quality before paying for a hosted tier.
How should deployment inside a private network be evaluated?
Several vendors document it, and the commercial treatment varies. Fivetran offers hybrid deployment at its Enterprise plan. Airbyte Enterprise Flex keeps data inside the customer boundary while the control plane stays managed. Matillion hybrid deployment at the Scale edition runs on customer-hosted agent infrastructure. Estuary Flow requires an annual contract for private and bring-your-own-cloud deployments. SnapLogic states that GroundPlex and CloudPlex carry the same price. The tier at which the option unlocks is the figure to confirm.
How should this comparison be used?
Use the documented product fit, source status, pricing and trade-offs to build a shortlist, then validate each finalist against current requirements, live vendor documentation and representative workloads. Entries with dated source checks are listed first, which records research readiness rather than product quality or buyer fit. Pricing changes frequently in this category, so every figure should be reconfirmed on the vendor pricing page before a contract is signed.
