Best Social Media Management Tools For Agencies (2026): Top 10 Compared

Updated September 2026By StatWharf Editorial10 vendorsMethodology

Agency buyers and single-brand buyers read the same pricing pages and pay on different meters, so the meter is the first thing to compare. Sendible, SocialBee and Cloud Campaign sell workspaces, HeyOrca sells client calendars and Metricool sells brands. NapoleonCat, Vista Social and Social Champ price on profile and user counts. Agorapulse and Hootsuite price per seat. All ten publish a figure, and seven publish the rate for adding one more client, profile or seat once the allowance runs out. How entries are ordered.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

Agency buying differs from brand buying in one respect that changes the whole comparison: the cost driver is the client list, not the team. A brand connects its own profiles once. An agency adds a client, then another, and needs to know what the eleventh one costs before it signs the tenth.

The ten products below are compared on that basis. Each price is taken from the vendor’s own pricing page with the month of the check recorded, and the meter is named in every case: workspace, calendar, brand, profile, seat or message.

Vendor details and trade-offs

Sendible

mid-market
sendible.com ↗
Consider forAgencies that put account managers, freelancers, reviewers and clients inside the platform, because Sendible states unlimited users on every tier and scales price on workspaces instead
Pricing notesCore is USD 35 a month, or USD 31 billed yearly, with one workspace. Plus is USD 99 or USD 86 with three, Premium USD 199 or USD 170 with seven, Elite USD 299 or USD 255 with fifteen, and Enterprise USD 750 or USD 638 with fifty. Every workspace includes six social profiles, and every plan carries unlimited users, scheduling and AI credits. Yearly billing is stated at 15 percent below monthly. The trial is 14 days with no card and no contract (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA workspace container that carries its own profiles, messages, reports and queues, so one client maps to one billing unit

Sendible prices on workspaces and gives users away. Core is USD 35 a month for one workspace, Plus USD 99 for three, Premium USD 199 for seven, Elite USD 299 for fifteen and Enterprise USD 750 for fifty. Each workspace carries six social profiles and its own inbox, reports and queues, which is the structure an agency already uses to separate one client from another.

The feature gates follow agency workflow rather than volume. Assignment and approvals begin at Plus. Content libraries, custom branded reports, campaigns and dedicated onboarding begin at Premium. Bulk posting with dynamic fields and role-based permissions begin at Elite, where white label becomes available as a paid add-on. Single sign-on and a dedicated account manager sit on Enterprise.

Potential strengths

  • Unlimited users on every tier, including the USD 35 entry plan, which removes the seat meter two other products here price on
  • The workspace is a complete container with its own profiles, inbox, reports and queues, so client separation is structural

Trade-offs

  • White label is a paid add-on available from Elite, not a feature of the mid tiers
  • Profiles are fixed at six per workspace, so a client running more than six channels consumes a second workspace

Agorapulse

mid-market
agorapulse.com ↗
Consider forSmall agency pods with a stable headcount that need ad-comment moderation and a shared inbox, since the seat rate is fixed and the per-extra-profile rate is published
Pricing notesStandard is USD 79 per user a month billed annually, or USD 99 monthly. Professional is USD 119 or USD 149 and adds ad-comment monitoring and replies, post and inbox assignments and team performance reports. Advanced is USD 149 or USD 199. Custom is tailored and adds unlimited profiles, single sign-on, custom roles and multi-step approvals. Standard, Professional and Advanced each include ten social profiles, with extras at USD 10 a month each annually or USD 15 monthly. The trial is 30 days with no card (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateAd-comment monitoring and replies from the Professional tier, which most products on this page do not price at all

Agorapulse is priced per user per month, which puts it on a different meter from most of this page. Standard is USD 79 a seat on annual billing and USD 99 monthly, Professional USD 119 and USD 149, Advanced USD 149 and USD 199, with a tailored Custom tier above.

The profile allowance does not move with the tier. Standard, Professional and Advanced all include ten social profiles, and only Custom lifts the cap. Above ten, the page publishes the overage at USD 10 a profile a month on annual billing and USD 15 on monthly, so an agency with forty client profiles buys thirty overages whichever paid tier it sits on.

Potential strengths

  • The per-extra-profile rate is published for both billing cycles, so a roster above ten profiles can be costed exactly
  • A 30-day trial with no card, against the 14-day trial most of this page offers

Trade-offs

  • Per-seat pricing means an added coordinator or client reviewer raises the bill again at the full seat rate
  • The 10-profile allowance is identical on Standard, Professional and Advanced, so scale is bought through the overage rather than the tier
Sources and status

HeyOrca

mid-market
heyorca.com ↗
Consider forAgencies whose cost centre is the client calendar rather than the seat, because HeyOrca prices per calendar and allows different plans on different clients in one account
Pricing notesFree is USD 0 per calendar a month with one user, 15 scheduled posts a month and two social profiles, starting with a 14-day Pro trial. Basic is USD 59 per workspace a month with ten social profiles. Pro is USD 149 per workspace a month, adding social listening, SMS media upload in Canada and the United States and custom branding. Custom is quoted for large agencies. All paid plans carry unlimited users, posts, approvals and media storage. Annual billing is stated at 15 percent lower, a multi-calendar discount applies as calendars are added, and rosters above ten calendars are quoted. Social Reports is a paid add-on on Basic (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA published pricing calculator that states the per-calendar rate after the multi-calendar discount before any contact with sales

HeyOrca prices the unit an agency already invoices against: the client calendar. Free covers one user, two profiles and fifteen scheduled posts a month. Basic is USD 59 per workspace a month with ten social profiles. Pro is USD 149 per workspace a month and adds social listening, SMS media upload in Canada and the United States, and custom branding. Custom is quoted above ten calendars.

Two rules make the model unusual. Plans are combinable, so an agency can hold a Basic calendar for a quiet retainer and a Pro calendar for a heavier account without moving the whole organisation up a tier. A multi-calendar discount then lowers the per-calendar rate as calendars are added, with the result shown in an on-page calculator rather than quoted.

Potential strengths

  • Plans are combinable, so a low-activity retainer can sit on Basic while a heavier client sits on Pro in the same account
  • Unlimited users, posts, approvals and media storage on every paid plan, which keeps client reviewers off the bill

Trade-offs

  • Social Reports is a paid add-on on Basic rather than an included feature
  • Ten social profiles per workspace is a firm allowance, so a multi-channel client consumes the whole calendar

Cloud Campaign

Consider forAgencies that resell social management under their own brand, since standard white labeling is part of the Team plan rather than an add-on, and advanced white labeling is part of Agency
Pricing notesFreelancer is USD 49 a month, or USD 41 billed annually at a stated 17 percent saving, with unlimited users and seven social accounts per client; extra brand workspaces are USD 49 a month or USD 41 annually. Team is USD 199 or USD 165, with five or more workspaces, unlimited social accounts and standard white labeling; extra workspaces are USD 29 or USD 24. Agency is USD 299 or USD 249 and adds advanced white labeling, paid social reporting, client migration and single sign-on; extra workspaces are USD 35 or USD 29. CloudStudio is a per-workspace add-on from USD 99 a month and requires an active plan (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA per-extra-workspace rate published for every tier, which makes the cost of the next client explicit before it is signed

Cloud Campaign sells to agencies directly and prices on brand workspaces. Freelancer is USD 49 a month with seven social accounts per client, Team is USD 199 with five or more workspaces and unlimited social accounts, and Agency is USD 299 with advanced white labeling, paid social reporting, client migration and single sign-on. Annual billing is stated at 17 percent lower on Freelancer, and at USD 33 and USD 50 a month lower on Team and Agency.

White labeling is the tier line that matters most to a reseller. Standard white labeling is part of Team and advanced white labeling part of Agency, rather than an add-on priced separately as it is on two other products here.

Potential strengths

  • Unlimited users on all plans and unlimited social accounts from Team, so neither seats nor channels meter the bill
  • The marginal cost of one more client is published for each tier rather than quoted

Trade-offs

  • The per-extra-workspace rate is lowest on Team at USD 29 and rises to USD 35 on Agency, so the top plan is not the cheapest place to add clients
  • CloudStudio is a managed content service billed per workspace, not a platform feature, and needs an active subscription

Hootsuite

enterprise
hootsuite.com ↗
Consider forAgencies managing large channel counts for a small number of operators, since social accounts stop being metered at Professional while the bill tracks seats
Pricing notesThe plans page states that displayed prices are per user per month based on annual billing and do not include applicable taxes. Its FAQ states that paid plans start at USD 99 for Standard and USD 199 for Professional, and range up to USD 399 for Advanced, with Enterprise quoted. Standard covers up to ten social accounts. Professional adds unlimited social accounts, inbox and workflow automation and custom reports. Advanced adds review and approval and message assignment. Enterprise adds advanced analytics and listening, single sign-on and custom compliance. The 14-day trial caps posting at 10 to 20 posts per organization a day and excludes bulk scheduling (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluatePublished trial limits, stating the daily posting cap and the absence of bulk scheduling before signup rather than after

Hootsuite is the largest name in this comparison and prices per seat. The plans page states that displayed prices are per user per month based on annual billing and exclude taxes, and its FAQ states that paid plans start at USD 99 for Standard and USD 199 for Professional, ranging up to USD 399 for Advanced, with Enterprise quoted.

The account allowance breaks in an agency's favour above the entry tier. Standard covers ten social accounts. Professional and Advanced both state unlimited social accounts, so a roster of thirty client channels costs the same as three. That inverts the model used by Agorapulse, Vista Social and NapoleonCat, where profile count is the primary meter.

Potential strengths

  • Unlimited social accounts from Professional upward, which suits a roster of channel-heavy clients
  • Trial restrictions are stated on the pricing page, so evaluation limits are known in advance

Trade-offs

  • Pricing is per user per month on annual billing, so the headline figure is a seat rate rather than a team price
  • Review and approval workflows begin at Advanced, two tiers above the entry plan

  • Billing terms: Per user per month on annual billing as stated on the plans page, excluding applicable taxes

Social Champ

smb
socialchamp.com ↗
Consider forAgencies that need unlimited client workspaces and unlimited seats without moving into enterprise contracting, since the Agency plan states both at a published monthly figure
Pricing notesStandard is USD 29 a month, or USD 23.20 billed yearly saving USD 69.60 a year, with six social accounts, two users and one workspace. Professional is USD 59 or USD 47.20 with twelve accounts, five users and three workspaces, adding advanced analytics, multi-layer approvals, client management and competitor analysis. Agency is USD 149 or USD 119.20 with thirty accounts, unlimited users and unlimited workspaces, adding white label reports, REST API access and social listening. Enterprise is quoted. Extra accounts are USD 5, USD 4 and USD 3 per profile a month by tier, extra users USD 8 a month on Professional, and AI credit packs USD 9 per 100 (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA declining per-profile add-on rate across tiers, at USD 5, USD 4 and USD 3, published beside each plan

Social Champ publishes a full add-on rate card next to each plan, which is rarer than it should be. Standard is USD 29 a month for six accounts, two users and one workspace. Professional is USD 59 for twelve accounts, five users and three workspaces. Agency is USD 149 for thirty accounts with unlimited users and unlimited workspaces. Enterprise is quoted.

The Agency tier is why the product appears in an agency comparison. Unlimited users and unlimited workspaces at USD 149 a month, with white label reports, REST API access and social listening included, is the lowest published price on this page carrying all three.

Potential strengths

  • The Agency plan states unlimited users and unlimited workspaces at USD 149 a month, the lowest published figure here carrying both
  • Extra profiles, extra users, AI credits and social listening all carry published add-on rates rather than quotes

Trade-offs

  • White label reports and REST API access begin at the Agency tier, so the two lower plans cannot produce client-branded output
  • Extra users cannot be bought on Standard at all, which caps that tier at two people
Sources and status
  • Product reference
  • Pricing source
  • Billing terms: Per month, billed monthly or yearly, by social account count with published per-profile and per-user add-on rates

SocialBee

smb
socialbee.com ↗
Consider forAgencies with large profile counts across many clients, since the Pro50, Pro100 and Pro150 plans price directly on 50, 100 and 150 connected profiles
Pricing notesThe standard plans are Bootstrap at USD 29 a month or USD 24 annually for five profiles, Accelerate at USD 49 or USD 40.80 for ten, and Pro at USD 99 or USD 82.50 for twenty-five profiles and five workspaces. The agency range is Pro50 at USD 179 a month or USD 149.20 annually for fifty profiles and ten workspaces, Pro100 at USD 329 or USD 274.20 for a hundred profiles and twenty workspaces, and Pro150 at USD 449 or USD 374.20 for a hundred and fifty profiles and thirty workspaces, each with five users per workspace. Yearly billing on the agency range is stated at 16 percent lower. Add-ons are a user or a workspace at USD 10 a month or USD 100 a year, and five profiles at USD 15 a month or USD 150 a year (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateA dedicated agency plan range published alongside the standard tiers rather than folded into a quoted enterprise plan

SocialBee splits its pricing page into standard plans and an agency range, and the agency range prices on profile count. Pro50 is USD 179 a month for fifty profiles and ten workspaces, Pro100 is USD 329 for a hundred profiles and twenty workspaces, and Pro150 is USD 449 for a hundred and fifty profiles and thirty workspaces, each with five users per workspace. Annual billing is stated at 16 percent lower.

Below that, the standard plans are Bootstrap at USD 29 a month for five profiles, Accelerate at USD 49 for ten and Pro at USD 99 for twenty-five with five workspaces. The agency plans also carry analytics with up to two years of data, exportable reports and internal notes.

Potential strengths

  • Three published agency tiers at 50, 100 and 150 profiles, so a large roster does not trigger a sales conversation
  • Every add-on carries both a monthly and an annual rate, including the five-profile pack at USD 15 or USD 150

Trade-offs

  • Users are metered at five per workspace on the agency plans and sold at USD 10 a month beyond that
  • The pricing page carries a dated promotional code alongside list prices, so the payable figure needs checking at purchase

Vista Social

Consider forAgencies that need 15 to 70 connected profiles on a published plan and want the cost of listening and advocacy modelled before purchase
Pricing notesProfessional is USD 79 a month or USD 758 a year for fifteen social profiles, two users and 10,000 DM contacts. Advanced is USD 149 or USD 1,430 for thirty profiles, four users and 25,000 DM contacts, adding advanced workflows and reporting, Zapier, Make and MCP integrations and AI training. Scale is USD 349 or USD 3,638 for seventy profiles, eight users and 100,000 DM contacts. Enterprise is customizable and quoted. Yearly billing is stated at 20 percent off. Listening on your own profiles is free, and listening across social, web and news starts at USD 75 a month. Employee advocacy is USD 199 a month for twenty-five employees. The X integration is USD 29 a month on every tier (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateDM contact limits published per tier at 10,000, 25,000 and 100,000, a meter no other product on this page states

Vista Social publishes three paid tiers and an add-on rate card beside them. Professional is USD 79 a month or USD 758 a year for fifteen profiles and two users. Advanced is USD 149 or USD 1,430 for thirty profiles and four users. Scale is USD 349 or USD 3,638 for seventy profiles and eight users. Enterprise is customizable.

Per profile, these are the largest published allowances among the products here that meter profiles at all. Seventy profiles at USD 349 a month sits well below what the per-profile overage rates at Agorapulse or Social Champ would total.

Potential strengths

  • Profile allowances of fifteen, thirty and seventy are the highest published per dollar among the per-profile products here
  • Every add-on carries a published rate, including listening at USD 75 a month and advocacy at USD 199 for twenty-five employees

Trade-offs

  • The X integration is a USD 29 monthly add-on on every tier rather than an included channel
  • User allowances are tight at two, four and eight, so a larger delivery team outgrows the tier before the profile count does

NapoleonCat

Consider forAgencies whose workload is comment and message moderation rather than publishing, since Pro and Expert price explicitly on inbox message capacity
Pricing notesThree licences are each sold in five sizes. Standard covers posting, analytics and reporting, from five profiles and two users at USD 89 a month or USD 79 billed yearly to sixty profiles and twenty users at USD 499 or USD 419. Pro adds moderation and states inbox capacity, from a 10,000-message inbox at USD 109 or USD 89 to a 250,000-message inbox at USD 619 or USD 509. Expert adds automation across the same five sizes, from USD 139 or USD 119 to USD 799 or USD 659. Enterprise is quoted. VAT of 23 percent is added for European Union companies without a valid tax number, for all Polish companies and for private individuals (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateInbox message capacity stated as a priced dimension, from 10,000 to 250,000 messages, alongside profiles and users

NapoleonCat publishes a grid rather than a ladder. Three licences, Standard for publishing and reporting, Pro for moderation and Expert for automation, are each sold in five sizes running from five profiles and two users up to sixty profiles and twenty users. That produces fifteen published prices, from USD 79 a month on yearly billing at the smallest Standard size to USD 799 at the largest Expert size on monthly billing.

Pro and Expert add a third dimension that no other product here prices: inbox message capacity, published at 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 250,000 messages by size. For an agency doing social customer service on client accounts, that is the meter that binds.

Potential strengths

  • Fifteen published price points across three licences and five sizes, so the figure for a given roster needs no quote
  • Inbox message capacity is priced explicitly, which suits agencies handling social customer service volume

Trade-offs

  • A 23 percent VAT charge applies to European Union buyers without a valid tax number and always to Polish companies and private individuals

Metricool

Consider forAgencies billing per client that want the platform cost to move with the client count, since Metricool prices in brand bands rather than seats or profiles
Pricing notesFree is EUR 0 a month for one brand with 30 days of analytics. Starter is from EUR 16 a month billed annually for up to five brands, or EUR 29 for up to ten, against monthly rates of EUR 20 and EUR 37. Advanced is from EUR 43 a month annually for up to fifteen brands, or EUR 69 for up to twenty-five, against monthly rates of EUR 54 and EUR 87, and adds the Looker Studio connector and the API. Custom covers up to fifty brands with white label. Annual billing is stated at up to 24 percent off, and the page also prices in dollars, where Starter runs from USD 20 annually or USD 25 monthly. Add-ons are an X connection at USD 10 a month per account and hashtag tracking at USD 25 a day (checked Sep 2026)
Feature to evaluateAI credits allocated per brand per month, at five, twenty and thirty-five by tier, rather than pooled across the account

Metricool prices in brand bands. Free covers one brand. Starter is from EUR 16 a month on annual billing for five brands and EUR 29 for ten. Advanced is from EUR 43 for fifteen brands and EUR 69 for twenty-five. Custom reaches fifty brands and adds white label and a dedicated account manager. Monthly rates are higher, at EUR 20 and EUR 37 on Starter and EUR 54 and EUR 87 on Advanced, with annual billing stated at up to 24 percent off.

The definition of a brand sets the real allowance. The page states that a brand holds one profile for each social network or ad platform, and that each Google Business Profile location needs its own brand. A client with two Instagram accounts therefore consumes two brands, not one.

Potential strengths

  • Brand-band pricing maps one to one onto a client roster, which no other product on this page does as directly
  • A permanent free tier covers one brand, so a new client can be set up before a plan decision is made

Trade-offs

  • A brand carries one profile per social network, so a client running two Instagram accounts consumes two brands
  • White label sits on the Custom plan only, above the twenty-five-brand Advanced band

How to choose a vendor

Price the eleventh client, not the first

An agency roster grows one client at a time, so the marginal rate matters more than the headline. Cloud Campaign publishes extra brand workspaces at USD 49 a month on Freelancer, USD 29 on Team and USD 35 on Agency, which means the cheapest marginal client does not sit on the most expensive plan. Social Champ publishes extra profiles at USD 5, USD 4 and USD 3 per profile per month across its three paid tiers. SocialBee sells a workspace at USD 10 a month and five profiles at USD 15. Agorapulse charges USD 15 per extra profile a month, or USD 10 on annual billing. Sendible, HeyOrca and Metricool move a buyer to the next container tier instead.

Frequently asked questions

Which tools on this page price per client rather than per seat?

Six of the ten. Sendible sells workspaces at one, three, seven, fifteen and fifty. HeyOrca sells calendars, with plans combinable across clients. Cloud Campaign sells brand workspaces and publishes the rate for each extra one. SocialBee sells ten, twenty and thirty workspaces on its agency plans. Social Champ gives unlimited workspaces on its Agency plan. Metricool sells brand bands of five to fifty. Agorapulse and Hootsuite price per user per month, while Vista Social and NapoleonCat price on profile and user counts.

Which plans include unlimited users?

Sendible states unlimited users on every plan, including the USD 35 Core tier. HeyOrca states unlimited users on every paid plan. Cloud Campaign states unlimited users on all three plans. Social Champ states unlimited users on its USD 149 Agency plan and does not sell extra users on Standard at all. Elsewhere seats are metered: Agorapulse and Hootsuite charge per user per month, Vista Social includes two, four and eight users by tier, SocialBee includes five per workspace on agency plans, and NapoleonCat sizes each licence by user count.

What does it cost to add one more client after the plan allowance runs out?

Seven products publish the figure. Cloud Campaign charges USD 49, USD 29 and USD 35 a month for an extra brand workspace on Freelancer, Team and Agency. SocialBee charges USD 10 a month for a workspace and USD 15 for five profiles. Social Champ charges USD 5, USD 4 and USD 3 per extra profile a month across its paid tiers. Agorapulse charges USD 15 a profile monthly or USD 10 annually. Sendible, HeyOrca and Metricool move the buyer to the next container tier instead, so the marginal cost is the tier difference.

Where does white labeling start on each product?

Cloud Campaign includes standard white labeling on its USD 199 Team plan and advanced white labeling on the USD 299 Agency plan. Social Champ includes white label reports on its USD 149 Agency plan. Sendible offers white label as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise, with custom branded reports from Premium. HeyOrca includes custom branding on Pro and sells Social Reports as an add-on on Basic. Metricool places white label on the Custom plan only. Hootsuite, Agorapulse, Vista Social, SocialBee and NapoleonCat do not state a white label tier on their pricing pages.

How should an agency compare a per-seat price with a per-workspace price?

Multiply the seat rate by the real number of people who log in, including client reviewers and freelancers, then compare that against the container price for the same client count. A five-person team on Agorapulse Standard pays USD 395 a month at the annual seat rate. The same team on Sendible Plus pays USD 99 a month at list for three workspaces, because users are unlimited. The comparison flips when headcount is small and channel count is large, which is where Hootsuite Professional and Vista Social Scale become competitive.

Is the order of this comparison a ranking?

No. Every entry carries a dated source check against the vendor's own pricing page, so the ten sit in one group and appear in content sequence within it. StatWharf does not score, rank or name a winner in a category, and position on this page carries no judgement about product quality. Buyer fit in each row describes a use case supported by the vendor's published documentation, not an endorsement and not a claim of hands-on testing.
