These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.
Marina management software runs the commercial side of a marina, boatyard or harbour: slips, berths, moorings and dry storage, seasonal contracts, transient reservations, billing and payments, and in many cases the fuel dock, ship store and service yard. A good system replaces the paper dock chart and the spreadsheet of who owes what with one record per boater and vessel.
The market splits by region and by depth. In North America, Dockwa is built around online transient booking and a boater marketplace, while Storable Molo, DockMaster and MARINAGO cover full operations, with DockMaster reaching into boat sales and accounting. Marina Master, Harba, Harbour Assist and Havenstar grew out of European, British and Australian harbours and handle multiple currencies or languages. SlipBoss serves small marinas with self-serve sign-up and a free plan.
The comparison covers nine products. Details come from each vendor’s public product and pricing pages, checked on 13 October 2026.
Vendor details and trade-offs
Dockwa was founded in 2015 in Newport, Rhode Island, and began as a way for boaters to book slips online. It now sells a modular operating system for marinas and says nearly 4,000 marinas use it. Dockwa also owns Marinas.com, a boater directory it acquired early in its history. On 3 June 2026 Dockwa announced a strategic growth investment from PSG, a growth equity firm, with co-founder Mike Melillo remaining chief executive. Dockwa is a separate company from Storable, which owns Molo.
The modules can be bought one at a time. Transient handles 24/7 online booking, waitlists, slip assignment and collection of insurance and registration. Captains & Contracts generates digital contracts with e-signatures, automated billing and payment schedules. Point of Sale runs the ship store, fuel dock and front desk, and Fuel Management tracks tanks and handles mobile checkout at the pump. Spaces provides the interactive marina map and a Dockwalk app, and Dry Stack adds launch scheduling.
The FAQ states that boaters pay the same rate through Dockwa as by phone, that marinas set their own cancellation policies, and that accounts can be cancelled with use continuing until the paid period ends. Accounting connections cover QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage and Xero.
Potential strengths
- Published starting prices for each module
- Boaters pay no booking fee, and the marina keeps control of approvals
Trade-offs
- Costs add up as modules are combined
- Payments are processed only in the US, Canada and the Bahamas
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Per module, annual billing
- Source review: checked Oct 13, 2026
- Vendor confirmation: not confirmed
Molo was founded in 2012 by Lucas Isola and Rocko Stojiljkovic. Storable, an Austin-based software company best known for self-storage management, acquired Molo in August 2021 and added the boat rental platform Stellar in October 2022. In November 2025 Storable brought both under a new brand, Storable Marine, renaming the marina product Storable Molo and Stellar Storable Rentals. Storable said pricing, logins and features did not change with the rebrand.
Storable Molo covers slips, moorings and storage with a drag-and-drop marina map, transient and long-term bookings with real-time pricing, and multi-location management from a single login. Service management tracks work orders, parts, labour hours and technician schedules. Point of sale, stored payment methods and automated invoicing handle billing, and boaters can book online or through a mobile app.
Reporting is a stated strength, with more than 80 built-in reports that can be scheduled for automatic delivery. In a July 2026 Marina World interview, the general manager named the Suntex portfolio and Hinckley Yachts' nine service locations as customers and described plans to bring Storable's dynamic pricing, marketing and payment tools to marinas.
Potential strengths
- Service work orders, parts and technician scheduling are part of the core product
- Integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and SpeedyDock
Trade-offs
- No published pricing
- Boat rental and club tools are a separate Storable Rentals product
- Product reference
- Product documentation
- Billing terms: Not recorded
- Source review: checked Oct 13, 2026

DockMaster has built software for the marine industry since 1983 and says more than 1,000 marinas, boatyards and dealerships use it. Valsoft, a Montreal-based acquirer of vertical market software, took over the DockMaster brand and operations in May 2017, and DockMaster remains part of that group.
The product has three parts that share one data set. DockMaster Desktop is the full marine ERP covering reservations, billing, service, inventory, boat sales, point of sale and accounting. DockMaster Web adds a cloud CRM, customer portal, online payments, eSignature and AI-assisted service scheduling. DockMaster Mobile is an offline-first app for technicians that tracks jobs and time without Wi-Fi.
On the marina side, VisualMarina gives a graphical view of slips, arrivals and departures. Storage proposals, billing codes, rent roll reports, wait lists, deposits and transient reservations are handled in the same module, and LaunchMaster schedules dry stack launches. Payment links let customers pay by card, debit or ACH without logging in. Sales management tracks prospects, serialised boat inventory, contracts, F&I, trade-ins and commissions. DockMaster runs a user conference in West Palm Beach from 19 to 23 October 2026.
Potential strengths
- Accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, 1099s and year-end close built in
- Covers boat dealership sales as well as marina and service operations
Trade-offs
- No published pricing
- The complete ERP runs as a desktop application, with cloud features in a separate web layer
- Product reference
- Product documentation
- Billing terms: Not recorded

MARINAGO Office is cloud marina software from Scribble Software, Inc. It is aimed at marinas and boatyards and is described as scaling from small facilities to enterprise operations with multiple locations.
The site groups the product into four areas. Marina management covers locations, reservations, billing and invoicing, payment processing, a visual property map, e-signature contracts, instant payments and a customer portal. Store and fuel dock covers point of sale, inventory control and pay-at-pump fuel, with optional integration that connects directly to fuel dispensers for real-time tracking. Service management handles scheduling, work orders and a technician portal with status updates and integrated billing. Business tools include two-way accounting integration, enterprise reporting and built-in email and text messaging.
MARINAGO publishes usage figures for the 2025 boating season from Memorial Day to Labor Day: 77 million system requests, 34 million accounting syncs and 574 million receipt requests. These are vendor figures. For a marina whose fuel dock and ship store carry a large share of revenue, the combination of point of sale, pump integration and accounting sync is the main reason to shortlist it.
Potential strengths
- Fuel dock tools include pay-at-pump and dispenser integration
- Built-in email and text messaging to customers
Trade-offs
- No published pricing
- Public pages describe features briefly, with little detail on integrations beyond accounting
- Product reference
- Product documentation
- Billing terms: Not recorded

Marina Master is developed in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The company says its team spent 25 years building investment banking software before turning to marinas, and its clients include Soldiers Point Marina, which it describes as the first Australian marina on the system.
The product is sold by module, so a marina can start small or take everything. The list includes CRM, an interactive reservation system, invoicing, accounting, management analytics, point of sale and fuel sales, boatyard and shipyard, yacht club, charter, accommodation management, food and beverage, dock walk, movement control, meter readings, CCTV, bank feed, asset management, timesheets, loyalty, payment terminal and a face recognition feature called MM FaceID.
The site describes three audiences. Boaters use the myMarina portal to order services such as check-in and check-out, payment, boat lifting or assistance on arrival. Staff get mobile tools that automate boat movement checks, data entry and contract extensions. Managers get a real-time view of cash flow, statistics and an audit trail on any device. Marina Master runs as a cloud service, installs and tests remotely, and offers training online or on site after data migration.
Potential strengths
- More than 20 modules, from CRM and invoicing to charter and food and beverage
- Support in more than seven languages with local partners
Trade-offs
- No published pricing
- Public pages give little detail on which external systems it connects to
- Product reference
- Product documentation

Harba sells HarbaMaster, cloud marina management software it says is used by more than 150 marinas. Its recent material positions the product for European marinas and resort docks, where it runs alongside hotel property management systems such as Opera, Mews or Cloudbeds rather than replacing them.
HarbaMaster handles berth and mooring reservations and availability, guest payments and invoicing, a marine CRM with vessel records, contract management and recurring billing for seasonal berth holders, and a live view of the dock. HarbaGuest lets visiting boaters book and complete arrival forms online. HarbaPower meters shore power and bills it automatically, and the product also covers dry stack and out-of-water boats.
The pricing page is the most complete in this comparison. Growth includes berth reservations and payments, insurance management, mobile access, online payments and contract invoicing. Professional adds a crane module, Messaging Plus and Sales Plus, a personal account manager, automatic invoices and dynamic inventory control. Enterprise adds custom integrations, advanced reporting and multi-marina handling. Every plan pays a per-spot fee of €5 a year, and onboarding covers account setup, data migration and an interactive marina map.
Potential strengths
- Full price list published, including onboarding and integration fees
- Unlimited support and data migration included in onboarding
Trade-offs
- Prices are in euros and the product is built around European operations
- Crane module and automatic invoices require the Professional plan
- Product reference
- Pricing source
- Billing terms: Annual plan plus per-spot annual fee
- Source review: checked Oct 13, 2026

Harbour Assist is cloud marina management software that lists UK and Australian phone numbers. Its clients include marinas, commercial harbours, local authorities, inland waterways, yacht clubs and boatyards, and the site names Fowey Harbour Commissioners, Dart Harbour, Castle Marinas, Littlehampton Harbour Board and Nanny Cay Marina among its users.
The product brings customer relations, communications, asset management, invoicing and reporting into one database. The CRM sends bulk emails, letters, HTML newsletters and SMS, tracks email opens and stores incoming emails and documents. Search works by customer, boat, berth, invoice, address or asset. Boat owners use a self-service portal to pay and manage their accounts, and mobile payments are included.
Harbour Assist sells one package rather than modules. Unlimited users, accounts, transactions, data and emails are included, so seasonal staff and layout changes do not add cost. The pricing page says it aims for the same pricing basis across clients without ad hoc discounts. Security is a stated focus: the site lists an ISO 27001 audit, PCI certification and UK Government G-Cloud accreditation, and one client says it was the only system that met its data security requirements.
Potential strengths
- Every client gets the same features, with no add-on modules
- Clients range from under 50 berths to more than 5,000 berths across 29 sites
Trade-offs
- No published price figures
- Costs are disclosed only after a confidential scoping document
