Best Lead Capture Software (2026): Top 10 Compared

Updated October 2026By StatWharf Editorial10 vendorsMethodology

Lead capture software turns anonymous website visitors into named contacts by asking for an email address, phone number or form answers at the right moment. The ten products below fall into three groups. OptinMonster, OptiMonk, Poptin and Wisepops add pop-ups, slide-ins, sticky bars and embedded forms to an existing website through a script. Unbounce, Leadpages and Instapage host standalone landing pages built for paid and email campaigns, with forms, pop-ups and A/B testing. Typeform, Jotform and Outgrow build forms, surveys, quizzes and calculators that can be embedded on a site or shared as a link, and send the answers to a CRM or email tool.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

Lead capture software converts website visitors into contacts a sales or marketing team can follow up. It asks for an email address, phone number or form answers through a pop-up on an existing page, a dedicated landing page, or an embedded form, quiz or calculator, then passes the lead to an email tool or CRM. General website builders and full marketing automation suites are not covered here.

The comparison below covers ten products. Features and pricing come from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked on 8 October 2026. All ten publish at least one price. Wisepops publishes only a starting price, and Unbounce, Instapage, Typeform, Jotform and OptiMonk quote their largest tiers. OptinMonster’s displayed figures are first-year introductory rates, so its profile records the renewal amounts shown on the same page.

Vendor details and trade-offs

OptinMonster

smboptinmonster.com ↗
Consider forSmall businesses, bloggers and online stores that want pop-ups, slide-ins and opt-in forms on an existing website with page, scroll and exit-intent targeting, as OptinMonster's pricing page describes
Pricing notesIntroductory first-year prices billed annually: Basic $9 per month ($108 billed today, renews at $210 a year), Plus $27 per month ($324, renews at $570), Pro $37 per month ($444, renews at $870) and Growth $67 per month ($804, renews at $1,470). Plans allow 2,500, 10,000, 25,000 and 100,000 campaign impressions and one, two, three and five sites. Every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee, and traffic above Growth moves to a custom plan (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateExit Intent technology, OnSite Retargeting, geolocation targeting and revenue attribution, with more than 700 templates across all campaign types

OptinMonster is a conversion optimization tool that places pop-ups, floating bars, slide-ins, inline forms and full-screen campaigns on a website through an embed code.

The Basic plan includes every campaign type, more than 700 templates, page targeting, time-on-site and scroll triggers, and basic marketing integrations. Plus adds A/B testing, device targeting, content locking and yes/no forms. Pro adds the vendor's Exit Intent technology, revenue attribution, countdown timers, campaign scheduling, webhooks and Zapier integration, and removes the OptinMonster badge. Growth adds geolocation targeting, new versus returning visitor rules, OnSite Retargeting, custom branding and unlimited sub-accounts for agencies.

The pricing page recommends choosing a plan with 20 to 30 percent more campaign impressions than site pageviews. It states that campaigns are never switched off when a limit is exceeded; the account is moved to the next tier instead.

Potential strengths

  • Low entry price for a single site with all campaign types included
  • Overages trigger an automatic tier upgrade rather than switching campaigns off

Trade-offs

  • Renewal prices are roughly double the first-year rates shown
  • Exit intent, A/B testing and badge removal sit above the Basic plan

Monthly billing starts from $29, $99 and $249. Master is custom-priced for stores above one million pageviews (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateThe AI agent is included on every plan, including Free, and draws on a monthly allowance of AI credits

OptiMonk sells on-site messaging for online stores: pop-ups, side messages, sticky bars and embedded content. Its current pricing page frames the product around an AI agent that designs, builds and manages pop-ups for the store, and each plan comes with a monthly allowance of AI credits that the agent uses as it works.

Plans are sized by pageviews per month and by the number of domains. The FAQ states there is no time-limited trial because the Free plan serves as the trial, and that the AI agent costs nothing extra on any plan. Premium adds a key account manager, and the Master tier covers stores above one million pageviews and teams running several brands.

Buyers that are not ecommerce businesses can still use the pop-up builder, but the plan descriptions and examples on the pricing page are written for stores.

Potential strengths

  • Free plan with no credit card and no time limit
  • Published price for every self-serve tier on both billing cycles

Trade-offs

  • Pageview-based tiers step up sharply between Growth and Premium
  • Positioned for stores; the pricing page speaks mainly to ecommerce

Forms cover email capture, contact and call-to-action forms with phone and email validation.

Triggers include exit intent, time delay, scroll, page count, inactivity, cart and on-click, and targeting rules cover pages, devices, traffic source, previous pages, geolocation, cookies, days and hours. Coupon tools handle fixed and unique codes, bulk upload, expiry and tracking.

The email side stores contacts, sends broadcasts and runs automations, with the free tier capped at 250 contacts and 500 emails. A unique visitor is counted once per 30 days regardless of how many pages that visitor views. Pro and Agency add sub-accounts, user management and API access.

Wisepops

mid-marketwisepops.com ↗
Consider forMid-sized and larger online stores and B2B sites that want pop-ups, embeds and web push run with a dedicated strategist rather than self-serve, as Wisepops' pricing page describes
Pricing notesPlans start at $599 per month for sites up to one million pageviews; the vendor quotes in USD or EUR depending on market, and every plan includes every feature. The page also shows the managed offer as from EUR 599 per month. A 14-day free trial is opened after a demo call (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateA dedicated strategist, a traffic audit and first campaigns live within two weeks are part of the service

Wisepops calls itself a traffic activation platform. Its product list covers pop-ups for lead collection, AI product recommendations, an on-site feed for offers and news, embeds that personalize sections of existing pages, web push notifications and an experiments module for testing campaigns. Integrations connect to ecommerce, email and CRM tools.

The commercial model differs from the self-serve pop-up tools. Each plan includes a dedicated strategist, and the vendor contrasts itself with a CRO agency retainer by bundling strategy, technology and execution. The buying process starts with a demo; the customer adds one script tag through site code or Google Tag Manager, the 14-day trial opens and an audit of the site's traffic is presented about seven days later.

Playbooks on the site target ecommerce and retail, B2B and SaaS, schools and universities, hotels, nonprofits and agencies.

Potential strengths

  • All features included on every plan
  • Managed setup with an audit presented after the script is installed

Trade-offs

  • Highest published entry price among the pop-up tools on this page
  • Trial starts only after a sales demo

Feature to evaluateUnlimited traffic and pages on all Leadpages plans, with dynamic text replacement and IP-based lead enrichment from Grow

Leadpages has built landing pages for small businesses since 2012. Its current pricing page splits the line in two. HTML Pub by Leadpages publishes landing pages, websites and blogs on custom domains with AI page creation, and includes API access and an MCP connector for publishing from AI assistants. Leadpages proper adds conversion rate optimization on top.

Grow includes unlimited traffic and pages, four custom domains, manual A/B testing, dynamic text replacement that matches page copy to ad copy, and lead enrichment for 2,000 IP lookups a month to identify visiting companies. Optimize adds Smart Traffic, which routes visitors to the variant judged most likely to convert, click and scroll heatmaps, auto-personalization and 24-month analytics. Feature to evaluateServer-side A/B testing without page flicker, plus ad-to-page personalization and direct lead bypass on Convert

Instapage is a landing page platform for teams running paid acquisition. The Create plan includes a website and landing page builder, reusable page blocks and forms, real-time visual collaboration with comment threads, triggered pop-ups and sticky bars, AI content for headlines and variants, contacts and branded email, and programmatic pages generated from a template and a content table.

Convert is the enterprise tier. Feature to evaluateUp to nine content types, from outcome quizzes and calculators to ecommerce recommendations, chatbots, giveaways and landing pages

Outgrow builds interactive content used as lead magnets. A visitor answers a quiz, assessment, poll or calculator, and the result screen is gated or followed by a lead form, so the business collects contact details along with the answers.

Plans differ by content types and lead volume. Freelancer Limited covers outcome quizzes, assessments, polls, calculators and forms and surveys. Freelancer Pro adds ecommerce recommendations and giveaways. Essentials adds chatbots and landing pages, and Business includes every content type. A lead counts as one submission of the lead generation form on Outgrow.

The pricing FAQ explains that the trial gives seven days of Business features without a credit card, after which a plan must be chosen. Integrations with CRM and marketing automation tools are included, and agencies managing several clients' systems can request an integration add-on.

How to choose a vendor

Match the billing unit to the traffic

Each group bills on a different unit. OptinMonster counts campaign impressions, OptiMonk counts pageviews and Poptin counts unique monthly visitors. Unbounce and Instapage cap monthly landing page visitors, while Typeform, Jotform and Outgrow cap responses, submissions or leads. Estimate monthly traffic and expected submissions before comparing prices, because the cheapest tier on paper can be outgrown within weeks.

Decide whether the capture happens on the existing site or a new page

Pop-up tools work on top of the pages a business already runs and suit content sites and online stores. Landing page builders suit paid search and social campaigns where each ad points to a dedicated page. Form and quiz builders suit longer questionnaires, qualification flows and interactive content. Several products overlap: Unbounce and Instapage include pop-ups and sticky bars, and Outgrow includes landing pages on its higher plans.

Check first-year discounts and annual commitments

OptinMonster's displayed prices are introductory first-year rates that renew at a higher annual amount stated on the same page. Unbounce, Instapage, Typeform, Jotform, OptiMonk, Poptin, Leadpages and Outgrow show lower monthly equivalents for annual billing. Compare the renewal or monthly-billed figure as well as the headline price.

Frequently asked questions

What is lead capture software?

Lead capture software collects contact details from website visitors so that a business can follow up. It does this through pop-ups, slide-ins and sticky bars on existing pages, standalone landing pages with forms, or embedded forms, quizzes and calculators. Captured leads are passed to an email marketing tool, CRM or spreadsheet through integrations, webhooks or exports.

How much does lead capture software cost?

Prices on this page range from free plans at OptiMonk, Poptin, Jotform and Outgrow to $599 per month for Wisepops. Pop-up tools start at $9 per month for OptinMonster's first year and $19 to $25 per month for OptiMonk and Poptin on annual billing. Landing page builders start at $22 per month for Unbounce annually, $40 for Leadpages and $79 for Instapage. Typeform starts at $28 per month billed yearly.

What is the difference between a pop-up tool and a landing page builder?

A pop-up tool adds capture forms on top of a website the business already runs, triggered by time, scroll depth or exit intent. A landing page builder creates and hosts separate pages, usually for an ad or email campaign, each with one form and goal. Unbounce and Instapage include pop-ups and sticky bars as well, so the categories overlap.

Are quizzes and calculators effective for lead capture?

Interactive formats ask the visitor for information in exchange for a personalised result, which gives the business both contact details and qualifying answers. Outgrow builds quizzes, assessments, calculators and polls for this purpose, and Typeform and Jotform support quiz-style forms with conditional logic. This page does not measure conversion rates, and vendor claims about lift were not tested.

Is there free lead capture software?

Yes. OptiMonk has a free plan for 10,000 pageviews a month, Poptin a free plan for 1,000 visitors a month, Jotform a free Starter plan with five forms and 100 submissions, and Outgrow a free forms and surveys plan with 100 leads a month. Free plans carry vendor branding or tight limits, and paid plans remove them.

How do the vendors count usage?

OptinMonster counts campaign impressions, OptiMonk counts pageviews, and Poptin counts unique monthly visitors once per 30 days. Unbounce and Instapage cap monthly landing page visitors, while Leadpages states unlimited traffic. Typeform counts responses, Jotform counts submissions and form views, and Outgrow counts leads submitted through its forms.

Which tools suit agencies?

OptinMonster Growth includes unlimited sub-accounts and custom branding, Poptin Agency covers unlimited domains with sub-accounts and user management, and Unbounce sells an Agency plan starting at ten root domains. Leadpages Scale adds team seats and workspaces, and Outgrow offers an integration add-on for agencies connecting several clients' systems.
