Best Courier Management Software (2026): Top 10 Compared
The ten products below run the operations of a courier or delivery company: order intake from clients, dispatch, driver apps, proof of delivery and the rates and invoices that turn a delivery into revenue. Three groups appear. Courier-specific systems (OnTime 360, CXT Software, Dispatch Science, e-Courier and Transvirtual) are built around the courier's own customers, with client portals, rate tables and billing. Last-mile delivery platforms (SuiteFleet, Cigo Tracker, Tookan and Onfleet) start from routing and driver tracking, and some add courier modules. Elite EXTRA serves distributors that run their own delivery and can hand overflow to third-party fleets. Seven vendors publish prices. CXT Software publishes a starting price, and e-Courier and Elite EXTRA quote after a sales call.

Courier management software runs the daily work of a courier company. It captures orders from clients, assigns them to drivers, plans routes, tracks each delivery to proof of delivery and prices the job so it can be invoiced. A courier sells delivery as a service, so client accounts, rate cards and billing sit at the centre of the category, next to dispatch and driver apps.
The market splits into courier-specific systems built around client billing and chain of custody, and last-mile delivery platforms that start from routing and driver tracking and add courier features. Pricing models differ more than features do: vendors charge per shipment, task, driver, vehicle or consignment. This comparison covers ten products across those groups, with pricing read from each vendor’s own pages.
Vendor details and trade-offs
OnTime 360, from Vesigo Studios, is hosted courier software for delivery businesses, carriers, freight brokers, messengers and dispatching services. It covers order entry, dispatching, tracking, pricing calculations and driver mobile apps with GPS tracking, barcode scanning, photos and signature capture. The mobile app works offline.
The four plans add features in steps. Team adds a basic customer web portal and partner data exchange. Business adds the REST and SOAP API, invoicing, a performance dashboard, route stop scheduling, payroll compensation reports and integrations with QuickBooks, FreshBooks and Xero. Enterprise adds branch management, automatic route optimization, vehicle tracking and playback, white labeling of the customer portal and features the vendor describes as HIPAA and GDPR compliant.
Accounts are month to month. A 14-day free trial gives access to the Enterprise plan, and OnTime states a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Trade-offs
- Shipment overage adds cost for busy months
- Automatic route optimization and white labeling sit on the $499 Enterprise plan

CXT Software sells courier software in three parts. The Client Portal lets a courier's customers place and track orders, view shipment history, pay and receive status alerts, under the courier's own branding. The Driver App organises shipment workflows, maps and job documentation for drivers.
The vendor describes AI-driven itinerary planning and autonomous dispatching for both on-demand and routed work. Chain-of-custody tracking records each step of a shipment, which CXT positions for industry needs such as healthcare logistics. It lists hundreds of pre-built integrations and states that support is staffed around the clock by its own team.

Delivery Network lets dispatchers send orders to integrated fleets such as DoorDash, Uber and Roadie when their own drivers are out, comparing cost and delivery time in real time. The product serves delivery fleets across many regions, with country pages for markets such as Canada and Saudi Arabia. The Canada page describes route planning for long highway runs, rural stops and winter closures, and it reports client results such as fewer empty miles, as vendor claims.
Cigo states that more than 1,000 brands use it. The Canada page lists a starting price per vehicle per month, no setup fee and a 14-day free trial that maps current routes against Cigo's suggestions. Couriers that bill clients should confirm how rates and invoicing are handled, because the site focuses on routing and tracking.

Frequently asked questions
What is courier management software?
Courier management software runs the operations of a courier or delivery company. It takes orders from clients, dispatches them to drivers, plans routes, tracks drivers, records proof of delivery and turns completed jobs into invoices. Many products add a client portal for ordering and tracking, rate tables, driver settlements and integrations with accounting systems.
How is courier software different from last-mile delivery software?
The two overlap. Last-mile delivery software is often bought by a retailer or distributor that delivers its own goods, so it focuses on routes, drivers and customer notifications. Courier software is built for a company that delivers for paying clients, so it adds client accounts, rate cards, order portals and invoicing. Onfleet bridges the two with its Courier Suite add-on.
How much does courier management software cost?
As of September 2026, published entry prices on this page range from free on Tookan for 100 tasks a month, and $49 a month on OnTime 360, to $675 a month plus $27 per driver on Dispatch Science. CXT Software starts at $600 a month. e-Courier and Elite EXTRA quote after a sales call. Most products also charge per shipment, task, driver or vehicle.
Which courier software publishes its prices?
OnTime 360, Dispatch Science, SuiteFleet, Tookan and Onfleet publish plan prices. Transvirtual publishes a per-consignment starting rate, CXT Software a monthly starting price and Cigo Tracker a per-vehicle rate on its Canada page. e-Courier and Elite EXTRA do not publish prices.
Do courier management systems include a client portal?
Most courier-specific systems do. OnTime 360 adds a customer web portal from its Team plan, CXT Software and e-Courier include client ordering and tracking portals, Dispatch Science includes one on Growth and Enterprise or as an add-on, and Onfleet adds one through Courier Suite. Transvirtual's customer portal supports web, API and EDI consignment creation.
What is chain of custody in courier software?
Chain of custody is a record of every hand-off of a shipment, usually captured by barcode scans, timestamps and signatures. Couriers that move lab specimens, medication or legal documents need it to prove who held an item and when. CXT Software, Dispatch Science and e-Courier document chain-of-custody features.
Can courier software handle invoicing and driver pay?
Several products do. OnTime 360 generates invoices and payroll compensation reports on its Business plan, Dispatch Science includes invoicing and driver and contractor settlements, and Onfleet Courier Suite adds client invoicing. OnTime 360 integrates with QuickBooks, Xero and FreshBooks. Buyers should confirm the accounting integration they use.
How was this list compiled?
StatWharf Editorial selected vendors that document courier or delivery management software on their own sites, and read each vendor's product and pricing pages in September 2026. Vendors already compared on StatWharf's last-mile and delivery management pages were mostly left to those pages. No product was tested hands-on, and no vendor confirmed its entry.
