Best Association Management Software (2026): Top 9 Compared

Updated October 2026By StatWharf Editorial9 vendorsMethodology

Association management software (AMS) runs the membership side of a professional society, trade association or chamber: the member database, dues and renewals, events, the member portal, email and non-dues revenue. The nine products below fall into three groups. WildApricot, MemberClicks, YourMembership and Novi AMS are all-in-one systems aimed at small and mid-sized associations with lean staff. Fonteva, Nimble AMS and re:Members are built on Salesforce or Microsoft platforms for larger organisations with complex structures. GrowthZone and Glue Up sit between the two, with separate products or tiers for chambers, associations and growing communities. Four vendors publish list prices or starting prices; the other five quote.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.

Association management software is the core system of a membership organisation. It holds the member database and runs dues, renewals, events, the member portal, email and the stores, job boards and sponsorships that bring in non-dues revenue. Buyers are typically executive directors, membership directors and operations staff at professional societies, trade associations and chambers of commerce, often replacing an older AMS or a set of spreadsheets and point tools. Donor-led nonprofits usually compare fundraising software instead, which StatWharf covers on a separate page.

The comparison below covers nine products: four all-in-one systems for small and mid-sized associations, three platforms built on Salesforce or Microsoft for larger organisations, and two vendors with separate products or tiers for chambers, associations and international communities. Three of the products (YourMembership, MemberClicks and Nimble AMS) belong to Momentive Software, and WildApricot belongs to Personify. Pricing comes from each vendor’s public pages, checked on 12 October 2026. Four vendors publish list or starting prices; five quote.

YourMembership

smbyourmembership.com ↗
Consider forSmall to mid-sized associations, professional societies, trade associations and chambers that want member management, a website, events, an online community and non-dues revenue tools in one system, as YourMembership's product pages describe
Pricing notesContact YourMembership. No price figures are published on the product pages reviewed, which direct buyers to a demo. The product page states that unlimited access to support staff, product training and a customer community are included in the annual fee (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateCombines the member database with a native online community, job board and career centre, website design and learning management, so associations can sell non-dues products without separate vendors

YourMembership is an association management system sold by Momentive Software, which also owns MemberClicks and Nimble AMS. The company states 25 years in the market and says 25 million members interact with the platform through their associations and nonprofits.

The product is an all-in-one system for small-staff associations. Member management covers sign-up paths, automated renewals, dues invoicing and lapsed-member win-back campaigns. Around it sit event registration, a branded website, workflow automation, accounting and payment processing, dashboards, an online store and donations. Momentive's product page adds engagement scoring that flags members at risk of lapsing, and a self-service portal where members renew at any time.

The distinguishing feature is the breadth of non-dues revenue tools included natively: a career centre and job board, advertising and banner management, sponsorship and exhibit management, and an online community. The product page also lists an open API and pre-built integrations for associations that keep some existing tools.

The vendor states that more than 14,000 association professionals use the system and that one in four professionals reaches YourMembership through an association. Support includes daily live chat with training staff, a knowledge base, free online training and Unity, a customer community. The case study on the product page describes a statewide assessment professionals' network that moved off manual processes to the combined membership and website product.

Potential strengths

  • Wide built-in scope covering community, job board, learning, store and donations
  • Support, training and a customer community are included in the annual fee

Trade-offs

  • No published pricing
  • Positioned for small to mid-sized organisations rather than large, complex associations

WildApricot

smbwildapricot.com ↗
Consider forSmall membership organisations, clubs and associations, often volunteer-run, that want to set up a member database, website, events and payments themselves, as WildApricot's pricing page describes
Pricing notesPriced by contacts on monthly billing: 100 contacts $66 per month, 250 $82, 500 $154, 2,000 $265, 5,000 $485, 15,000 $584, 50,000 $992. Prepaying one year saves 10% (for example $59.40 per month at 100 contacts) and two years saves 15% ($56.10 per month at 100 contacts). No setup, training, per-transaction or cancellation fees; payment-provider fees apply. 60-day free trial with no credit card (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateAll plans include the same features, from website builder and events to online store, donations and admin and member mobile apps, so the only pricing variable is database size

WildApricot is membership management software owned by Personify, and states that more than 15,000 organisations use it. Its customers range from clubs and nonprofits to small professional associations, and its testimonials include a state occupational therapy association.

The pricing model is the simplest in this comparison. Every package includes the same features, and the price depends only on how many contacts sit in the database. The feature set covers a membership database with automated renewals and reminders, a members-only website and portal, an online directory, event registration with waitlists and coupon codes, email campaigns with segmentation and triggered sequences, donations, an online store with sales tax and VAT handling, and QuickBooks or CSV export.

WildApricot describes itself as self-service, with free onboarding coaches during setup. Payments run through Personify Payments or other providers at an extra fee. Multi-chapter organisations can request volume discounts and a template-based setup that gives each chapter its own website.

WildApricot widgets embed membership applications and other content on an existing site, and a WordPress integration lets organisations keep a WordPress website. Pages can be restricted to members, admins or groups. Payments are Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, recurring charges cover dues and donations, and members update card details themselves. Separate mobile apps let admins check in event attendees and take payments, and let members edit profiles, view tickets and search the directory.

Potential strengths

  • Published, contact-based pricing with a 60-day trial and no setup fees
  • Free onboarding coaches help with setup and data import

Trade-offs

  • Designed as self-service software, so configuration falls to the association
  • Online payments add fees from the chosen payment provider

Fonteva

enterprisefonteva.com ↗
Consider forTrade associations, professional societies, association management companies, customer user groups and fraternal organisations that want their AMS inside Salesforce CRM, as Fonteva's site describes
Pricing notesContact Fonteva. The site reviewed offers a product tour and contact form but no price figures (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateFonteva Payments is built into the platform with ACH, Apple Pay and Google Pay, multicurrency support and Stripe fraud detection

Fonteva builds association management software on Salesforce for membership organisations. It states that more than $1.8 billion is transacted annually through the platform, serving 90 million members and customers in more than 100 countries. Customers quoted on its site include the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychological Association.

The product covers membership, events, payments and branded online communities, with member directories, an e-commerce shop, certifications and self-service account management available on any device. Staff use point-and-click configuration wizards, dynamic page layouts and Salesforce Chatter, and reporting draws on embedded dashboards and Salesforce CRM Analytics.

Fonteva Payments is a distinguishing piece. It runs inside the platform rather than through a separate gateway, supporting ACH, digital wallets, 3DS2, a card updater, saved payment methods and simplified reconciliation. A Fonteva Marketplace extends the product with further apps.

Fonteva lists association management companies, customer user groups and fraternities and sororities among the organisation types it serves, alongside trade associations and professional societies. Analytics let staff set custom KPIs, share collaborative dashboards and restrict reports by role, and communications can run in each member's language and currency.

Potential strengths

  • Member data, events, communities and payments share one Salesforce data model
  • Multilingual and multicurrency support for international memberships

Trade-offs

  • No published pricing
  • Getting value from the Salesforce platform usually needs internal administrators or a partner

Novi AMS

smbnoviams.com ↗
Consider forAssociations that want a white-label website, events, e-commerce and accounting sync in one system with pricing set by organisation revenue, as Novi AMS's pricing pages describe
Pricing notesPriced by the association's annual revenue. Novi Core, for revenue up to $400K, is $829 per month billed annually, with $3,600 onboarding. Novi Prime, for $400K to $1M, is $1,285 per month. Novi Enterprise, for $6M and up, is $3,622 per month. Premier, Elite and Advanced tiers cover the $1M to $6M bands (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateEvery subscription includes the same modules, including two-way QuickBooks sync, API access and single sign-on, with price set only by revenue band

Novi AMS is association management software based in Orlando, Florida, which describes itself as built for associations by associations. Its customer quote comes from the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.

Every subscription includes the same modules: membership database, white-label website, non-dues revenue features, e-commerce, member segmentation, a two-way QuickBooks sync running around the clock, an events manager, reporting, communication tools, and API and single sign-on access.

Novi's pricing model ties cost to the association's annual revenue across six bands, from up to $400K to $6M and above. Each band has its own tier name and a monthly price billed annually. For associations whose finance staff work in QuickBooks, the included sync is the main practical distinction, because it removes double entry between the AMS and the general ledger.

The onboarding fee is shown on the Core page; the other tier pages reviewed show the monthly price only, so buyers should confirm onboarding costs for larger bands. Novi's site links an ROI page arguing the system pays for itself, and its customer quote credits the system with saving 20 hours of staff time a week. That figure is the customer's own statement and was not verified by StatWharf.

Potential strengths

  • Published prices for each revenue band
  • QuickBooks sync, API and single sign-on are included rather than sold as add-ons

Trade-offs

  • Pricing by revenue can cost more than contact-based tools for small associations with high revenue
  • Onboarding is a separate one-time fee

  • Billing terms: Core billed annually; one-time onboarding fee shown on Core

MemberClicks

smbmemberclicks.com ↗
Consider forSmall to mid-sized professional and trade associations and chambers that want help with implementation and onboarding rather than a do-it-yourself setup, as MemberClicks' pricing page describes
Pricing notesMC Pro, for associations whose members are individuals, starts at $4,500 per year. MC Trade, for associations whose members are organisations, starts at $3,500 per year, with specialty pricing for chambers. Final pricing depends on organisation and functionality needs (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateMC Trade uses a relational database that links employees to employers and parent companies to subsidiaries, with advanced dues calculation for company memberships

MemberClicks is a Momentive Software product and states that more than 3,000 associations use it. Its pricing page compares it with WildApricot, which it describes as a do-it-yourself tool for smaller budgets, while MemberClicks targets small to medium organisations that want implementation help, a dedicated support line, live chat and a client community.

The product is sold in two versions. MC Pro serves associations with individual members and includes member directories, member types and committee management, automated dues and renewal reminders, email automation, event registration, call for papers and abstracts, a website and member portal, and engagement analytics. MC Trade serves associations whose members are companies, adding full CRM, a relational database for employee, employer and parent-company links, sales management, an e-commerce store, granular admin permissions and accounting integrations.

The buying process is sales-led. The pricing page lays out five steps: contacting the sales team, a needs discussion, product selection, a walkthrough with questions, and implementation. MemberClicks also integrates with other Momentive Software products, so associations can add further tools from the same vendor after launch.

Potential strengths

  • Published starting prices for both product lines
  • Dedicated support line, live chat and a client online community

Trade-offs

  • Starting prices are floors; the final figure needs a sales conversation
  • Call for papers sits on MC Pro, while sales management and an e-commerce store are listed on MC Trade

Glue Up

mid-marketglueup.com ↗
Consider forMembership organisations, chambers and communities, including those operating across several countries, that want membership, events, CRM and email in one platform, as Glue Up's pricing page describes
Pricing notesProfessional starts from $3,000 to $6,500 per year and covers membership, events, CRM and email, online payments and invoicing. Advanced starts from $8,000 to $18,500 per year and adds automation, integrations, reporting and LMS licences for up to 5 team members. Enterprise is quoted. All plans are billed annually and may vary by organisation size (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateOptional power-ups add chapter management with split payments, CPD and CPE credit tracking with automatic certificates, a private community and single sign-on

Glue Up sells an all-in-one platform for membership organisations and states that more than 2,000 organisations use it. It combines membership management, event management, CRM, email communications and newsletters, online payments and invoicing.

The pricing page is organised in three tiers. Professional covers the core operational tools. Advanced adds automation and workflows, integrations with other business applications, enhanced reporting, and complimentary LMS training and licences for up to five staff. Enterprise adds a dedicated customer success manager, multi-chapter and multi-location management, multi-language and multi-currency capability, and enhanced AI features.

Power-ups extend the platform for specific association needs: chapter management with centralised reporting and split payments, certification management that tracks CPD and CPE credits and issues certificates, a private community intended to replace Slack or Facebook groups, and branding options such as a website, a custom-branded member app and single sign-on.

Support is packaged by tier. Glue Up describes onboarding, adoption, training and guidance for all customers, while Enterprise adds strategic business reviews, personalised success planning, VIP priority service and LMS training and licences for all team members rather than five.

Potential strengths

  • Published annual price ranges for two tiers
  • Certification and chapter management are available as add-ons rather than a separate product

Trade-offs

  • Ranges are wide, so the final price still needs a quote
  • Multi-chapter, multi-language and multi-currency are listed on Enterprise

GrowthZone

mid-marketgrowthzone.com ↗
Consider forChambers of commerce through ChamberMaster, growing membership organisations through GrowthZone AMS, and mid- to upper-market associations with complex structures through MemberSuite, as GrowthZone's pricing page describes
Pricing notesContact GrowthZone. The pricing page states that organisations pay only for what they need and describes ChamberMaster, GrowthZone AMS and MemberSuite AMS without price figures (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateGrowthZone AMS includes marketing automation, AI-assisted newsletters and a membership sales funnel, while MemberSuite includes every module without extra licence fees

GrowthZone sells three association products and states that it works with thousands of associations and chambers. ChamberMaster serves chambers of commerce and is used by more than 3,000 of them, with business directories, member benefit tracking, hot deals and event administration.

GrowthZone AMS targets membership organisations that want marketing tools inside the AMS. It includes automation workflows for onboarding and engagement, AI-powered newsletters, a sales funnel for membership prospects with probability tracking, mobile apps for staff and members with business card scanning and event check-in, a form builder that writes into member records, and the InfoHub member portal for profiles, invoices and resources.

MemberSuite AMS is aimed at mid- to upper-market associations with complex structures. It offers dozens of modules, multi-layered chapters, sections and committees, a data warehouse, bi-directional APIs and accounting integrations. GrowthZone states that every MemberSuite module, including certifications, job boards, publications and fundraising, is included without extra licensing fees.

The vendor also states that MemberSuite includes unlimited user support. GrowthZone partners with add-on providers to extend each product, and its AMS overview stresses an interface meant to cut staff training time and modules that scale with the member base.

Potential strengths

  • Three products let chambers, mid-sized and complex associations stay with one vendor
  • MemberSuite lists a built-in data warehouse and bi-directional APIs

Trade-offs

  • No published pricing for any of the three products
  • Buyers must first work out which of the three products fits

Nimble AMS

enterprisenimbleams.com ↗
Consider forLarge and complex associations with multiple revenue streams that want advanced analytics, automation and a configurable member experience on Salesforce, as Nimble AMS's product pages describe
Pricing notesContact Nimble AMS for a customised proposal. The pricing page states that price depends on factors specific to the organisation. The licence includes the underlying Salesforce platform; some other Salesforce products may require separate licences (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateEvery customer runs the same version and receives three upgrades a year, which Nimble AMS states protects integrations and customisations from breaking

Nimble AMS is association management software built entirely on Salesforce and sold by Momentive Software. Its product page states that it is designed for large and complex associations, with NASPA among the customers it quotes.

Membership management gives staff a full view of each member and supports complex structures, while members use a portal for their membership, registrations, certifications and account details. Finance teams get an accounts receivable sub-ledger for invoicing, cash receipts, deferrals, credits and instalment payments. Automation runs on clicks rather than code, AI predictions come through Salesforce Einstein, and dashboards cover membership, events and financials. Nimble Communities is native to the product.

Momentive connects Nimble AMS to its other products, including Path LMS for continuing education credits, a career centre, and exhibit and trade-show management. The single-version model, with three upgrades a year for all customers, is the main operational argument the vendor makes.

The vendor's site cites a five-star rating on the Salesforce AppExchange, 98% customer support satisfaction and 97% customer retention; these are Nimble AMS's own figures. On cost, the features page commits to quotes without surprise charges later, but no figures are published, and buyers should price any additional Salesforce clouds they plan to use.

Potential strengths

  • Accounts receivable sub-ledger handles deferrals, credits and instalment payments
  • Native online community without a third-party integration

Trade-offs

  • No published pricing
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud may need separate Salesforce licences

Pricing notesContact re:Members. The AMS page states that pricing varies by features, user count and integrations and that a customised quote is provided, and asks buyers to share their project and annual budget range (checked Oct 2026)
Feature to evaluateOffers a separate Chapter Performance product to reduce administration for local chapter leaders

re:Members is the company formerly known as Impexium, based in Troy, Michigan. It serves associations, chambers of commerce and fraternal and sororal organisations.

Its listed features include membership management with unlimited member types and statuses, payments, committee and chapter management, awards, accounting and finance, event and exhibit management, email marketing, membership analytics, and sales and fundraising. re:Members AMS Platform runs on Salesforce for larger associations and adds a branded member portal with role-based permissions, a finance suite and managed services with a client success manager.

Chapter Performance is a separate product for associations with local chapters, intended to reduce administration for volunteer leaders. The vendor states that it connects to hundreds of platforms through pre-built connectors and custom integrations.

For fraternal organisations, re:Members sells a CRM Platform, two payment products for chapters and headquarters, and housing and fundraising tools. Its AMS page advises buyers to budget beyond the base price, naming implementation and onboarding, licensing and maintenance, e-commerce transaction costs and total cost of ownership. The League of Women Voters of the United States is quoted as an AMS Platform customer.

Potential strengths

  • Choice of Microsoft Power Platform or Salesforce foundation
  • Unlimited member types and statuses, with individuals, organisations, prospects and contacts

Trade-offs

  • No published pricing
  • Two product lines mean the platform decision comes before the product evaluation

How to choose a vendor

Know which unit the vendor prices on

AMS vendors price on very different units. WildApricot charges by the number of contacts in the database, from 100 to 50,000. Novi AMS charges by the association's annual revenue band. MemberClicks quotes a starting annual price that differs for individual-member and organisation-member associations, and Glue Up publishes annual ranges by tier. The Salesforce-based products quote per project. Compare total annual cost at the membership size expected in three years, including onboarding.

Separate individual-member and company-member models

A professional society bills individuals; a trade association or chamber bills companies and links their employees. MemberClicks sells a different product for each case, GrowthZone sells ChamberMaster separately from its AMS, and re:Members lists organisation and contact records alongside individuals. Ask each vendor to demonstrate dues calculation and renewals for the association's actual membership structure.

Count the platform under the AMS

Fonteva and Nimble AMS run on Salesforce, and Nimble AMS states that its licence includes the underlying Salesforce platform but that other Salesforce products may need separate licences. re:Members offers one product on Microsoft Power Platform and another on Salesforce. These platforms suit associations with internal systems staff or a partner; smaller associations often prefer a self-contained system.

Frequently asked questions

What is association management software?

Association management software (AMS) is the system a professional society, trade association, chamber or other membership organisation uses to run its member records, dues and renewals, event registration, member portal, communications and non-dues revenue such as stores, job boards and sponsorships. It replaces separate spreadsheets, email tools and payment systems with one database tied to each member's history.

How much does association management software cost?

On the pages checked in October 2026, WildApricot runs from $66 per month for 100 contacts to $992 per month for 50,000 contacts on monthly billing. MemberClicks starts at $3,500 per year for MC Trade and $4,500 for MC Pro. Glue Up lists $3,000 to $6,500 per year for Professional and $8,000 to $18,500 for Advanced. Novi AMS starts at $829 per month billed annually plus $3,600 onboarding. YourMembership, Fonteva, GrowthZone, Nimble AMS and re:Members quote.

What is the difference between an AMS and nonprofit fundraising software?

An AMS manages members who pay dues for benefits: renewals, member types, chapters, events and member-only content. Fundraising software manages donors and gifts: campaigns, pledges, receipts and donor stewardship. Several AMS products on this page include donations, but associations whose main revenue is donations usually compare fundraising software, which StatWharf covers on a separate page.

Which association management systems are built on Salesforce?

Fonteva and Nimble AMS are built on Salesforce, and re:Members sells a Salesforce-based AMS Platform alongside its Microsoft Power Platform product. Nimble AMS states that its licence includes the Salesforce platform needed to run the application, with some other Salesforce products licensed separately.

Which AMS suits a chamber of commerce?

GrowthZone sells ChamberMaster specifically for chambers and states it is used by more than 3,000. MemberClicks offers specialty chamber pricing on MC Trade, re:Members lists chamber solutions, Glue Up serves chambers among other organisations, and YourMembership lists chambers among its customer types.

Which AMS handles companies as members?

MemberClicks sells MC Trade for associations whose members are organisations, with links between employees and employers and between parent and child companies. re:Members AMS manages individuals, organisations, prospects and contacts, and GrowthZone's MemberSuite handles multi-layered structures with chapters, sections and committees.

Are there AMS products with published prices?

Yes. WildApricot and Novi AMS publish full price lists, MemberClicks publishes starting prices for both products, and Glue Up publishes annual ranges for its Professional and Advanced tiers. WildApricot also offers a 60-day free trial without a credit card.

What costs besides the subscription should an association budget for?

Implementation, payments and platform licences are the usual extras. Novi AMS lists a $3,600 onboarding fee on its Core tier. WildApricot charges no setup or transaction fees but payment providers charge their own. Nimble AMS states that some Salesforce products need separate licences. re:Members advises buyers to account for implementation, licensing and maintenance, e-commerce transaction costs and total cost of ownership, not only the base price.
